Sberbank will use services of DPC of DataLine for 1 billion rubles

Sberbank selected data center from Moscow for placement of racks with the IT equipment. The results of the corresponding purchase were summed up at the beginning of December, 2016.^[1].

The DataLine company became the only procurement participant, according to the protocol of Sberbank. It submitted the application without decrease in the starting price of the agreement (1022 million rubles). However based on the held negotiations the price of the contract fell to 999 million rubles. Thus, for this amount within three years of DPC DataLine will render services to Sberbank.

Under the terms of the customer, for observance of requirements for reliability and continuity of IT systems, rented by DPC bank it had to be located at a distance of not less than 1 km and no more than 25 km from megadPC of Sberbank.

Level of reservation of all elements of the technical systems of DPC had to correspond or exceed requirements to elements of infrastructure of data processing centers of the TIER III level (according to Uptime Institute classification).

The participant in the auction request had to provide the appropriate certificates Uptime Institute of the Tier III level (Design and Facility) or a complete set of executive documentation and a set of documents on commissioning of DPC. At the same time during the period of date of submission of the auction request before date of summing up an auction the participant had to provide selection check by the staff of Sberbank of the technical systems of DPC, including simulation of shutdown of reserve elements and check of functioning of DPC with shutdown of city power supply.

As reported TAdviser, at the same time two certificates of Tier III Certification of Constructed Facility and Tier III Certification of Design Documents of the Uptime Institute organization in Moscow 6 data centers have. It is DPC Compressor of Croc company, data centers of DataSpace, DataPro, DataLine and also data processing centers of Perovo (VTB bank) and own megadPC of Sberbank Southern port.

Purchase of services of DPC consisted of two lots. The first – lease with firmness - places in DPC with the brought power not less than 8 kW. The initial cost of lease of each place taking into account connection was 94.4 thousand rubles. The second lot - a reserve with firmness - the place which single maximum cost was 35 thousand rubles.

The total quantity of racks required to bank for the entire period of lease is 3258. Estimated quantity of reserve racks - 942.

Within purchase at the first stage of lease the contractor of the contract should have a possibility of placement 100 with firmness - places in one building of DPC. In addition the possibility of step-by-step placement 500 with firmness - the places rented consistently on halls should be provided, but not less than 50 are resistant - places on the hall.

Racks under placement of the equipment should have the size 600 x 1100 mm and 800 x 1200 mm, not over 48U high.

The supplier also should provide on a permanent basis of 5 jobs for accommodation of staff of Sberbank for the carrying out planned and unplanned works with the equipment placed in DPC. Jobs should be placed jointly, in one office space, in close proximity to the machine hall of DPC.

Let's remind that in 2018 Sberbank expects to construct the second own megadPC in Skolkovo.
