2019: The plan of migration in a cloud

On September 18, 2019 the Softline company reported that ABBYY offered the optimal plan of migration in a cloud.

The business development strategy of ABBYY required upgrade of internal IT infrastructure using cloud services of Microsoft. At upgrade all available software licenses had to be considered. For the analysis of a current status of IT infrastructure, inventory of the unrolled software and all park of the computer equipment ABBYY addressed Softline company.

Specialists of Softline prepared to the customer the professional recommendations allowing to upgrade most effectively IT infrastructure. In particular, experts of the company helped ABBYY to use most effectively available licenses of products of Microsoft, including Office 365.

When implementing SAM Infrastructure Optimization the ABBYY company together with experts of Softline expanded use of a cloud platform of Microsoft Azure for work of geographically distributed commands. For example, application of Azure DevOps Services which is licensed on number of developers allows to integrate version management system, data collection, creation of reports, tracking of the statuses and changes on the project.

The specifics of activity of ABBYY do not allow idle time in connection with unavailability of DPC. Blackout and other possible accidents should not entail loss crucial yielded or results of testing/development. For maintenance of continuity of business processes and reliable data protection of Softline recommended to the customer to consider the solution for replication and backup – Azure Disaster Recovery.

We successfully implemented already the second SAM project with Softline company. On October 25, 2016 the ABBYY company announced implementation of the Microsoft SAM program together with the partner of Softline.

Thanks to carrying out optimization of use of program assets of Microsoft SAM of ABBYY company it was succeeded not only to cut down expenses and it is essential to increase business productivity, but also to formalize rules of installation of new software for licensing process systematization in the future.
