The enterprises of Rostec state corporation will use cloud services and IT infrastructure of Rostelecom. In October, 2016 the system integrator of Rostec RT-Inform signed with "subsidiary" of Rostelecom - "Rostelecom – the Data processing center" - the agreement providing it.
RT-Inform notes that intend to perform transition to essentially new model of work with the enterprises – to refuse purchases of the expensive equipment, "which quickly becomes outdated", for benefit of solutions on the infrastructure which is taken out out of limits of the enterprises.
The CEO of RT-Inform Kamil Gazizov explained TAdviser that resources of Rostelecom are going to be used mainly for providing the enterprises of Rostec with cloud services for the SaaS model. At the same time the option and leases of the application at Rostelecom, and deployment of proprietary applications on infrastructure of the operator is possible.
A set of specific services and their volume within the agreement on cooperation with Rostelecom is not defined: it will make a reservation in each case within separate contracts with the enterprises, proceeding from their requirements.
Task of RT-Inform - to consolidate requirements of the enterprises of Rostec, to receive the most convenient and advantageous conditions from Rostelecom and to effectively divide resources between the enterprises, Gazizov noted.
Since 2014 RT-Inform creates for Rostec internally protected cloud within the Service 360 project assuming creation of uniform service IT infrastructure in scales of state corporation. The cloud is based in DPC on one of the enterprises of Rostec. On its basis, for example, the solution of VDI for the staff of central office of state corporation, and in plans – distribution of applications according to the SaaS model, such as ERP system and PLM system was deployed.
RT-Inform explained TAdviser that own cloud is intended first of all for provision of services to the central office of Rostec located in Moscow, and a number of holdings. At the same time, the structure of Rostec is characterized by territorial separation of the enterprises for the whole country. Kamil Gazizov notes that the remoteness of the consumer of cloud services from DPC from which they are provided can affect data transfer rate and cost of services. Rostelecom has infrastructure in different regions, and to use it more effectively, than to build own DPCs closer to the enterprises.
Arrangements with Rostelecom assume that for rendering services to the enterprises in the DPCs it will use, including, the computing and telecommunication equipment made by the organizations of Rostec.
Rostec does not refuse also plans for development of own DPCs for internal requirements. At the same time, the CEO of RT-Inform notes if earlier their construction was planned, then now, considering an economic situation and other nuances, in the company consider it to use more expedient leased resources for providing services to the enterprises.
