Content

On October 26, 2016 the System Technologies company announced a trade automation system implementation project by request of Pobeda confectionery.

Project Tasks

Since February, 2016 the plant in Latvia produces chocolate for import to EU countries, North and South America. For ensuring sales the international branch network is created, branches in Latvia and Lithuania work, the number of branches in Russia is increased, teams of sales representatives are made. Business development pushed Victory to decision-making in the field of management of trade commands.

Automation trade (sales representatives - a comment of TAdviser) was one of the first projects initiated by me on a position of the director of information technology of Pobeda confectionery. I already faced SFA and understood their potential and benefits: our branch network gives about 25% of all turnover, the importance of a gain even in 10% is obvious. However to the final decision on a project startup we went two years: investments, taking into account all our branches, were required considerable. By 2015 we descended two tasks for which solution it was necessary to automate activity of sales representatives. The first is the growth of base, turnover and the profit of branches, the second — opening of branches outside Russia. Other country, other mentality — the question of control and motivation of personnel became an edge, plus we recorded decrease in motivation and efficiency at a part of the old Russian trade teams. All this induced us to look for more perfect mechanisms of management of work of sales representatives.

When choosing the solution there were not only a functionality, completeness of a scope of solvable tasks, but also quality of development, a vector and speed of development. I the programmer in the past therefore I understand that not only the implemented functionality, but also a method of its implementation, the tool using which it is made a development approach and to design is important. In the market there are not much leaders in this segment. Among them according to all requirements to us closer there was a System Technologies company and as a result we selected the software package "ST of Chicago".


Project Progress

The pilot project was carried out in the Moscow branch. The contractor assisted in reorganization acting and start of additional business processes, as in IT, and branch. Structures are created, it is provided user training and employees of IT.

Now the rollout takes its course. We created separate structure as a part of technical support which answers questions trade, programmers participate in implementations, system engineers prepare and ship tablets to branches.

The result exceeded expectations: across Moscow growth of turnover was about 50%. This digit is caused, of course, by synergy effect of different factors, not the latest, there was implementation "ST Chicago". The solution allowed to see a remaining balance, to see work trade, to manage it, new instruments of control, motivation and coercion appeared. It is only the small list of the used opportunities. After end of a rollout there are plans for accumulation of the used functionality: management a trade - marketing activities, trade standard changes, work with sensusy, etc.
