Content

On October 19, 2016 it became known of the project of process automation of inventory in InCity company. The integrator in the project is Kleverens company.

Project Tasks

The InCity network contains about 470 shops. At the same time in each shop there can be about 45-60 thousand descriptions of goods.

Inventory of goods in a trading floor and utility rooms of shops of network was carried out manually with calculation of a quantitative remaining balance and their comparison with a remaining balance in the accounting system. This process took ~ 2-3 weeks and not always yielded unambiguous results[1].

Revaluation was executed manually, using clerical etiquette guns. In one shop two-three employees could carry out revaluation during 7-8 changes and is frequent with errors.

In search of effective solution for automation of inventory and goods revaluation in retail stores, InCity addressed to Kleverens company.

The customer needed to receive the ready-made solution and to quickly integrate it with the operating product-based IT infrastructure of 1C for retail. Not less important aspects for the customer: high-quality support from the supplier, the cost and an implementation time.

The developer offered the software of Mobile SMARTS and a mobile equipment (data collection terminals and mobile printers).

Project Progress

In total 60 data collection terminals of Point Mobile PM260, 114 data collection terminals of Proton PMC-8100 and 174 mobile Toshiba-Tec B-EP2 printers – 174 are purchased.

Implementation of technology is carried out step by step and by October, 2016 works in half of shops of network.

Project Results

As a result of the project InCity received the solution for mobile revaluation, inventory and goods acceptance. Implementing solution helped to get rid of the errors connected with a human factor. Now all work is performed by the equipment.

After Mobile SMARTS implementation Shop 15, labor input of transactions decreased by 50%. Revaluation of 100 commodity units takes 6 min. One employee does revaluation of all shop for 1-2 working shifts.

With implementation of the mobile solution costs were reduced and processes accelerated. Need for night works and additional payments for overtime work disappeared. The personnel of shops can spend the released time for other retail tasks leading to sales growth. The term of return of investments - six months.

We are absolutely happy that we stopped the attention on a product from "Kleverens". Mobile SMARTS Shop 15 ideally fitted into our accounting system, employees without problems began to use new technologies. So far life not really big, but is already visible economic effect of implementation.
