According to him, by March, 2017 it is going to connect all — about 143 thousand — the staff of the government of the country. It will cost the authorities $155 thousand (about 9.8 million rubles) a year.

Peter Ong speaks about implementation of Facebook Workplace in civil service

Before transition to Facebook Workplace the government of Singapore used own social network under the name Cube which was started in 2013. This project did not become failure, but also had no great influence, Peter Ong noted.

The main shortcomings of Cube he called impossibility of use on smartphones, the unclear interface and slow loading. When choosing new service for interaction of employees questions of information security support, compatibility with mobile devices, cost and simplicity in operation were taken into account, added Ong.

Facebook Workplace can work on smartphones and tablets, without being connected to internal network of government employees. 82% of state workers in Singapore whereas the indicator of implementation of Cube for the same time was measured by 61% became active users of this service less than in a month.
