SAP Localization Hub

In November, 2016 SAP Labs in the world and in Russia provided a set of cloud services for localization of the solutions – SAP Localization Hub. He turns on the following services:

• Tax as a Service is service of calculation of taxes, relevant for the company, according to the local legislation. In it it is possible to calculate, for example, the VAT for more than 75 countries, including Russia, income tax and some other tax indicators.
• Digital Compliance Service – gives an opportunity in legislatively fixed format to exchange data with state agencies on a centralized basis through the SAP platform. To the Russian requirements of the moment of the announcement it is unavailable.
• Legal Change Notification – provides information and updates on the flowing and planned changes of the legislation for all countries and SAP solutions. It is available to the Russian requirements from the moment of the announcement. In SAP Labs in the CIS told TAdviser that the Russian clients asked similar service long ago.
• Print Forms Service is the cloud solution for printing of forms generating them with an accuracy of pixel. The solution includes access to the cloud storage of the forms prepared by SAP Labs, such as, for example, pay slip. At the time of the announcement it is available to the Russian requirements.
• Statutory Reporting Framework is uniform tools for formation and delivery of accounting and tax statements in the SAP S/4HANA system. At the time of the announcement on its base service especially for Russia is created.
• SAP Translation Hub is service of business transfers which can be used at global implementations or development of solutions based on SAP. In it own machine translation technologies of SAP are used, told TAdviser in SAP Labs in the CIS. It is possible to use service, for example, in that case when it is necessary to translate an application interface into several languages. In service the translation into 39 languages is available. At the time of the announcement service works also for Russia.
• eDaaS (eDocoments-as-a-Service) is exchange of legally significant electronic documents (for example, accounts or delivery notes)

SAP developed new approach to localization of the solutions

At the time of the announcement of services not all from them are available to the Russian requirements. For example, for introduction of Digital Compliance Service it is necessary to provide at first certification according to the Russian legislation. In SAP Labs in the CIS say that the company has it in plans. Models of collection of payment for them from users and partners at the time of the announcement so far too are up to the end not worked out, told TAdviser in SAP Labs in the CIS.

Receive local updates of the systems of SAP from a cloud and also users of cloud solutions – for example, SuccessFactors and Ariba, and solutions deployed on the party of the customer can use additional services within SAP Localization Hub.

In a case with cloud solutions the localized updates will automatically come, tell in SAP Labs in the CIS. In a case the solution deployed at the customer it will be necessary to configure connection to SAP Localization Hub at first. In addition to clients, services will be available also to the partners developing solutions based on SAP products.

Was engaged in development of services for localization of SAP about two years. The company told TAdviser that the basis of their creation was formed by the idea to exclude need to enter separately the same changes connected with local requirements of the legislation to the different systems of SAP. It concerns, for example, bills which are made out by the companies, and acts of the performed works. They are present at standard SAP ERP, at S/4HANA, Ariba, SAP Concur.

The representative of SAP Labs in the CIS in a conversation with TAdviser noted that emergence of Localization Hub introduces convenience and to SAP, both to developers, and to customers. SAP it will allow to reduce costs and time for localization of solutions – made once users of different solutions will receive. For the client it too reduction of funds for the completions of systems connected with localization is told in the company.

For the customer using the different systems of SAP and working even only at one market, completions were costly both in financial, and in the temporary relation. For the companies working at several markets, this problem was even more expressed, note in SAP. With emergence of a cloud service on localization of products, it will be required to carry out less completions, besides, on it expanded price offers will be offered, speak in SAP in the CIS.
