Bot-Trek Secure Bank will protect clients of RBS of Sberbank

The Group-IB won in November, 2016 the tender for delivery of services in protection of clients of Sberbank against frauds in Internet banking. Contract amount was 45 million rubles a year. Online payments of clients of Sberbank will be protected from swindlers using the solution Secure Bank – it was developed within the project supported by a grant of Skolkovo Foundation.

Group-IB won in an open competition on delivery of services in protection online payments of Sberbank against such players as "Kaspersky Lab" and the company IBM Trusteer (provided "Jet Infosystems").

Using the solution Secure Bank additional protection against cyber-criminals will be received by 50 million users of Sberbank Online service and 2 million users of the Sberbank Business Online system.

The solution Secure Bank allows to reflect these threats and to reveal other crimes at a stage of their preparation. Sberbank became one of the most technology advanced banks of the world, now more than 50 million users of Sberbank Online service will be reliably protected from swindlers".

Secure Bank will protect users of Internet banking from unauthorized penetrations into an online office. A system using technology of the behavioural analysis keeps track of activity, atypical for the specific client, in online bank and other signs of fraudulent activity, for example, of attempt to make transfer from the device infected with the malicious software. Secure Bank quickly notifies bank on unauthorized penetration into an online office of the client and does not allow criminals to make transaction.

Sberbank within 18 months tested the solution Secure Bank proposed by Group-IB. During this time the software allowed to prevent thousands of plunders from customer accounts, at the same time its work was imperceptible for users and did not affect loading speed "Sberbank Online".

Secure Bank is a part of a single system of early detection of threats from Group-IB developed on the basis of 13 years' experiment of the company on investigation of cybercrimes.

By data CENTRAL BANK OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION, the number of accounts of individuals in the Russian banks with access to systems remote banking (RBS) since 2008 increases on average by 57% a year. In 2016 the number of the accounts connected to Internet banking exceeded 127 million. At the same time the number of the unauthorized transactions made using the RBS systems increased in 2015 more than by 6.5 times (according to the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, 'The overview about unauthorized transfers of money for 2015').
