DeLaval ordered a holographic presentation system using technologies of augmented reality

On December 7, 2016 the Croc company announced the project of creation of a presentation system, by request of Delaval company as a part of which the holographic model of a dairy farm and mobile application with technology of augmented reality (AR, augmented reality). Development Croc (TsVR) executed the Center of virtual reality.

Project Tasks

A presentation system was required to Delaval for demonstration of hi-tech products to customers.

Project Progress

Specialists of TsVR created the model "A smart dairy farm of Delaval on 2.4 thousand accounting units of a livestock for display by means of a table of virtual holography. Through special glasses the visitor of an exhibition can examine in detail a farm, estimate its functionality in dynamics. For example, to observe as using the equipment of Delaval company there takes place milking, movement of animals in stalls, cooling and transportation of milk, feeding, a navozoudaleniye. The space image, the animated models of animals and the equipment "Delaval" help with depth to study advantages of automation of these processes.

Mobile application "DeLaval: augmented reality", (2016)

For demonstration of the equipment the contractor created a special AR-application "Delaval: augmented reality". By means of technology of augmented reality it allows to consider 3D models of products of Delaval company in a real environment using the camera of the mobile device.

As the universal information medium the graphic tag which can be applied on any promotional material – whether it be the booklet, a souvenir or the directory is used. Pointing the camera at a tag, the user sees on the screen of the mobile device dynamic models of products of Delaval company in a real environment:

• systems of voluntary milking of VMS,
• robotic rotor milking hall
• the rotor milking hall with parallel stalls of PR3100HD.

The AR-application works on the smartphones with iOS and Android having Internet access.

Project Results

Development Croc helps the customer to show effectively possibilities of the automated farms and a production equipment of the company at industry shows.

The developed presentation solution will allow to bring demonstration of our hi-tech equipment to new level. Virtual and augmented reality will become one more channel of promotion of the solutions "Delaval" with high potential of increase in number of customers. In the nearest future we will provide these developments at the largest agroexhibitions. The project with Delaval company clearly demonstrates possibilities of use of VR technologies in agro-industrial complex and their role in support of sales of technically difficult equipment.
