EFES Rus transferred data management to a cloud of SAP

On December 13, 2016 the company SAP also Efes Rus announced project completion of data transfer in a cloud SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud (HEC) in Moscow data center vendor.

Project Tasks

The strategy of the customer is based on increase in process performance and cost reduction, including due to optimization of cost of operation and support of information systems. The cloud of SAP is selected not only in terms of security and reliability of data storage, but also in connection with a possibility of further scaling on the SAP HANA platform, scope changes of the consumed services in a business development measure.

Project Progress

The project proceeded six months. The project team jointly with specialists of SAP Digital Business Services carried out migration of a system SAP landscape of BW to a cloud of HEC. All were a part of project works of migration infrastructure services, available to transfer on outsourcing: services in adaptation and migration of a system, administration of a landscape of IT infrastructure.

Project Results

The in-memory technology and the SAP BW on HANA platform allowed to reach on average 10-fold acceleration of processing of analytical requests, to reduce data warehouse volume more, than four times. Indicators are received at full functional compatibility of the applications implemented earlier.

With project completion of the company well corporate storage for all structures and divisions allowing to carry out in real time the analysis of the consolidated data.

The main thing that we received – new opportunities for fall forward of acceptance of management decisions and drawing up the management reporting. In the conditions of the high competition and quickly changing economic situation we are sure that use of SAP products, including HANA, will help us to strengthen our positions in the market and will become a basis of steady growth of the company.
