Biography

Mikhail was born in Moscow on July 7, 1973.

In 1996 he graduated from the Moscow State Aviation Institute.

He worked as an apprentice mechanic and assembler, deputy head of the Design Bureau "Scientific and Production Association named after S.A. Lavochkin."

Since 2008, in the structure of the Federal Space Agency.

He worked as the head of the Office of Automatic Space Complexes.

In 2014, he was appointed deputy head of Roscosmos.

On December 16, 2016, Mikhail Nikolaevich Khaylov works as deputy general director of Roscosmos.

2021: Chairman of the Board of Directors of the RCC

On August 4, 2021, Russian Space Systems (part of the Roscosmos State Corporation) reported that the Board of Directors of the RKS elected Mikhail Khaylov as chairman of the board of deputy general director for space complexes and systems of the Roscosmos State Corporation.

In turn, Alexander Bloshenko, Executive Director for Promising Programs and Science at Roscosmos State Corporation, became Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors.

In February 2021, the Nabsovet of Roscosmos approved a program of strategic transformations of space instrument making enterprises and a decision on the formation of a profile holding based on Russian Space Systems JSC. These decisions determine the future appearance of one of the most important components of the Russian rocket and space industry: the structure will include industrial enterprises, research institutes, design bureaus, assembly plants and other organizations aimed at ensuring the complete import independence of the Russian rocket and space industry in the supply of space microradioelectronics and instrument making products.
