Rosmen implemented the SAM Baseline Review project from Alan IT

On December 21, 2016 the Alan IT company announced implementation of the SAM Baseline Review project in Rosmen LLC.

Project Tasks

In 2015 Rosmen LLC set the task of license reconciliation of the software, namely, in comparison of the purchased software [| Microsoft]] with that which is in real use. As SAM of the partner the Alan IT company was selected.

Tasks of assessment of the current scheme and determination of the optimal program of licensing within purchase of software, on confirmation of legitimacy of use of the software were set for the SAM Baseline Review project, according to processes of SAM in the organization, by determination of the purpose of further implementation of SAM of processes and the tool for accounting and control of IT infrastructure.

Project Progress

The project covered all legal entities of the company on 4 cities of Russia. According to inventory by the automated means, Rosmen locates the park more than 200 PCs. Data collection was made by means of MAP 9.2, at the same time it was recommended to implement in infrastructure of System Center Configuration Manager as the tool on management of IT assets.

During the project special attention was paid to an issue of virtualization and recommendations about transition to Hyper-V technology are made.

Besides, specialists Alan IT carried out the analysis of shared state the politician of SAM on key indicators of model of optimization – SOM. The assessment of processes was carried out by comparison of core competencies with model of optimization of SAM (SOM) which is regulated by the ISO standard in the field of management of software.

Project Results

According to the results of the project a number of key recommendations about implementation of the tool for management of IT infrastructure, on software updating due to transition to cloud computing was developed: Office 365 for upgrade of jobs and updating of a server framework based on Azure that will allow to display the old equipment and to minimize expenses on acquisition of new.
