Rostelecom's representative office in Geneva was opened in 1999. It was the only foreign structural unit of the company. Through it, interaction was carried out with foreign organizations and operators, including the International Telecommunication Union.

In February 2022, the United States imposed sanctions against Russia, suggesting a ban on raising capital through the issue of debt/shares applies to a number of Russian companies, including Rostelecom. The telecom company said that restrictions on raising capital in foreign currency will not affect the activities of Rostelecom, the company has a completely ruble portfolio of funds raised.

At peak time, more than 30 thousand Rostelecom employees work remotely in the system at the same time. More than 10 thousand employees have access to corporate mail on a mobile device.

For meetings, the company has its own system for conducting audio and video conferencing so that colleagues from different cities of Russia can hold online meetings and solve work tasks in teams.

To promptly inform Rostelecom employees, it uses the corporate portal and the RT Life mobile application, where the company's news is regularly published, polls are conducted. In a pandemic, a special remote.rt.ru portal was created, which collected all information on the organization of remote work, measures to prevent coronavirus infection, and so on. A hotline is open for employees in the company.

To develop employees, there is an online university with courses, tests and webinars. Various specialists are invited to the online broadcast, including doctors who tell you what precautions you need to take to resist the coronavirus. Also, each employee can read books for free in corporate online libraries.[2]

Rostelecom made the largest office lease in Moscow

On January 27, 2020, it became known about the conclusion of the largest office lease transaction in Moscow. Rostelecom rented from Aktion Development the office part of the Akademik business center with a total area of ​ ​ 24 thousand square meters. m on Vernadsky Avenue.

Sources Vedomosti said that the cost of an annual lease at Akademik for Rostelecom will be about 720 million rubles. Thus, for one square meter (excluding taxes and operating expenses), the company will pay Aktion Development 20 thousand rubles a year.

According to Colliers International, at the end of 2019, there were about 382 thousand square meters. m of free class A office space (8.7% of the total supply in this class). A large share of free space is represented by business centers located outside the Moscow Ring Road. The average rate on class A offices is about 25.5 thousand rubles per 1 sq. m per year.

2016: Rostelecom office receives award

Each employee has the opportunity to create the desired microclimate at his workplace. For this, energy-saving LED lamps, lighting of the workplace and other premises are installed mainly natural[4]

Temperature comfort is maintained thanks to instruments and special software that allows you to analyze the thermal model of the building. Air quality is regulated according to the number of people present. So, for areas with a large and variable number of people (meeting rooms, gyms, etc.) CO2 sensors are provided.

Water consumption is monitored in the office. Cranes with reduced water consumption are installed, the design of which reduces water outflow compared to conventional plumbing. In addition, water consumption meters are provided for areas where the water consumption is more than 10% of the total water consumption of the building, and a leak monitoring system.

Materials that meet the BREEAM requirements for the level of SCRAP - volatile organic substances are used in the finishing. These requirements apply to wood panels, flooring, decorative paints and other finishing materials.

Insulation of external walls, roofing and utility systems was also used environmentally friendly materials recommended by the certification system.

Special attention is paid to the processing of household waste. The office provides premises for storing recyclable garbage, as well as containers for composting food waste.
