Rossotrudnichestvo passes to Alfa OS

Rossotrudnichestvo is Federal agency on affairs of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the compatriots living abroad and on the international humanitarian cooperation — conducted procurement of licenses of the domestic Alfa OS operating system for equipment of own automated jobs.

The workplace based on Alfa OS includes complete functionality for daily work of employees, namely the browser, an e-mail client, a packet of office programs, a specialized software.

According to the Deputy manager of Rossotrudnichestvo, Irina Zhivikhina: "Alfa OS proved to be the stable operating system compatible the file formats used by us and applications. The lack of high requirements to ADP equipment allowed to set Alfa OS on PVEM of last generations. Separately It should be noted that thanks to the interface, friendly and usual for users, transition from the operating system of foreign production to Alfa OS did not require separate training of staff of Rossotrudnichestvo and system administrators".
