For February 9, 2017 SAP Omnichannel Banking is the platform on the basis of open standards, it is focused on simplification of management processes mobile and web applications for customer service of the banking sector.

On January 26, 2017 the SAP SE company announced the new version of SAP Omnichannel Banking technology. It represents a single platform with open standards which will simplify management process mobile and web applications for bank services for individuals, small and large enterprises.

As a part of a product more than 500 microservices that allows banks to develop flexible applications with unique features of electronic customer service for smartphones, tablets and the PC.

SAP Omnichannel Banking supplements solutions for customer interaction and commerce of a portfolio of SAP Hybris and creates the complex platform which will allow banks to control all aspects of customer service.

Using a combination of SAP Omnichannel Banking and SAP solutions of Hybris banks will be able to implement intellectual processes of electronic sales and service, to personalize customer interaction on all channels and to receive the complex overview of these clients.

The modular architecture of SAP Omnichannel Banking will allow banks to unroll new products and services step by step and without interruption of the current processes. The solution supports local or cloud installation, provides rapid implementation and the increased frequency of updates. At the same time amount of works on creation of expansions for each bank at the expense of library of accelerators of user preference and more than 200 services of a configuration with uniform access point will be reduced. In composition Eclipse plug-ins - integrated development environment (IDE) of microservices are provided. It increases productivity of developments and allows to create constantly extending network of reliable partners and financial and technology support.

For banks use of several platforms leads to a large number of workflows, separate maintenance schedules and also slow and difficult updating. SAP Omnichannel Banking and SAP Hybris represent the complex platform for management of all types of electronic customer interactions, including mobile both web applications, and different activities. This product can become one of competitive advantages of bank and will provide the personalized electronic customer service.

As a part of the version:

  • uniform business logic and reliable self service features on the basis of which it is possible to create banking applications, powerful and ready to use, for services for individuals and the companies;
  • the components providing centralization of crucial operational tasks thanks to architecture with support of protection, powers, statements, warnings, circuit managements, scheduling, distributed caching, notifications, checks, aggregation of these clients, electronic processes, user administration and also circuit management and devices;
  • open architecture which supports integration of third-party business services and partners for formation of joint scenarios and acceleration of implementation of innovations;
  • flexible SAPUI5 interface which lifts all limits on technologies of developments of UI;
  • optional integration into the basic SAP solution for banks.

The architecture of API in SAP Omnichannel Banking simplifies interaction with IT architecture of the financial and technology companies and it facilitates cooperation with them to banking institutions. Now banks can actively use network of partners, cooperate with the financial and technology companies.
