Nokia and VimpelCom signed the five-year contract

Nokia company both Russian telecommunication and the VimpelCom technology company (a brand Beeline) signed the five-year agreement according to which Nokia becomes the largest service provider of management of the fixed, mobile and transport networks VimpelCom.

Long-term cooperation assumes transfer of Huawei and Nokia of a full stroke of management of the mobile, fixed and transport networks, says the operator. Huawei and Nokia will be engaged in planning, optimization, monitoring and service of network and also control of the equipment. Beeline, in turn, will define the development strategy, qualitative parameters of network and will reserve control of implementation of tasks at the main stages of lifecycle of network and also the property right to the equipment of network.

Within the signed contract the Nokia company which already manages network functioning VimpelCom in the Central region of the Russian Federation, assumes liabilities on management of the communication networks 2G, 3G and 4G constructed based on the equipment of different producers in the Southern, North Caucasian and Central regions of Russia including in Moscow now. For implementation of this project of Nokia will use the innovation means of network management, production processes and software tools of automation. Will pass network in Northwest, Volga, Ural, Siberian and Far East federal districts to Huawei.

Thanks to the planned consolidation and transformation of approach to management of networks the VimpelCom company will be able to optimize and increase efficiency of the production processes and network infrastructure, to accelerate implementation of new services and to lower total costs of ownership of several networks. It, in turn, will help the company to increase service quality of its more than 58 million subscribers of mobile communication and 2.2 million users of services of the fixed broadband access in the territory of Russia.

Using all opportunities of the Global center of provision of services in Voronezh, Nokia will render to the company 'VimpelCom" a full range of services of network planning and optimization, implementation of network infrastructure, the management of projects and the current technical support. Thanks to the experience and excellent understanding of requirements for complex service and operation of the networks shown to different technical solutions from different suppliers, Nokia will fully be able to fulfill the specific requirements of VimpelCom company and to provide its networks the highest level of quality and performance.
