Module "Emulation of the External Environment"

On March 15, 2017 the Dinamika company announced development of the module "Emulation of the External Environment" to the Dynamika-Avtotestirovaniye system.

The module allows to execute emulation of replies to the requests from the tested core banking system in external information systems on different channels: data bus, file exchange, db-link, etc.

This functionality gives the chance to execute test cases without communication with other automated systems and cancels need of deployment of the integration stand for testing of end-to-end business processes. It reduces costs for use of hardware capacities and a labor cost for implementation.

Dynamika-Avtotestirovaniye - technology of acceleration of process of testing of banking information systems.

Dynamika-Avtotestirovaniye helps the complete solution of a problem of comprehensive and reusable regression testing with a performance up to 1 thousand tests within 12 hours. It gives the chance:

• to daily carry out an inspection of operability of the most critical for business of bank of processes.
• provide complete regression testing of all IT complex for several days.

Features of software

• The product is organized on the basis of industrial technologies (HP, SmartBear, Ranorex) used by the leading developers of autotests
• The multi-platform architecture allowing to test both the automated banking system, and its environment – Bank Client, the data bus, etc.
• Integration with banking systems is IBSO, RBO, Siebel.
• Embedding of the Dynamika system in the operating infrastructure. For carrying out regress the individual stand is not necessary, the existing schemes of testing/development are used.
• Interaction with the core banking system via the user interface: Dynamika provides to 100% emulation of work of the user.
• The convenience of the analysis of results – result of testing is automatically sent by e-mail in the Excel format of all interested audience.
• An opportunity to create GUI tests (to test the interface), API tests.

Solutions in the field of the automated regression testing exist long ago. But so it developed that in bank area where business processes generally represent difficult intellectual transactions with a set of parameters for which special conditions of a status of a DB are necessary, this class of solutions did not get accustomed, noted in the company.

Among features of the solution "Dynamika-Avtotestirovaniye" in the company called: the possibility of creation of API tests, and not just GUI (the most widespread in the field) — allows to increase many times without damage to quality of work performance (more than 1000 tests in a night); multiparametrization (a possibility of a binding of an array of parameters to a standard test case) — allows to start the autotest a set of times until it touches all options set in an array that allows to increase quality of check of a test case; the multi-platform architecture of software which cornerstone libraries of industrial solutions are — allows to cover with testing the majority of the bank platforms distributed today, including data buses (as a result automatic regression testing is held at all levels: client Desktop-applications, web browser, application server, integration, API, DBMS and reporting).

Existence of FrameWork allows to create tests and their checks in terms of the metadata clear to specialists from "data domain". At the same time involvement of separately selected specialists is not required, tests can be created only using the existing developer analysts, including from bank. It is also possible to involve in development process of analysts-technologists and to create the tests which are completely repeating actions of specialists of bank at manual testing.

In turn, the data preparation mechanism for the test and the system emulating replies to the requests from the core banking system of bank in external systems (allows to test the core banking system of bank without communication with other systems), gave the chance to minimize requirements to the stand for behavior of testing of end-to-end business processes. The solution is built in the current IT infrastructure of bank and does not require selection of new servers or installation of restrictions for work with already existing.

Based on system implementation of the automated testing from Dynamics banks had an opportunity to reduce the term of carrying out full regression testing from 1-2 months to several days, thereby having optimized time-to-market indicator (time of an output of new services / products for the market).
