In "VNIIG of B.E. Vedeneyev" the control system and accounting of printing is implemented

On March 21, 2017 the company Rick announced system implementation of control of printing of YSoft SafeQ in a complex with color Xerox WorkCentre 7830 MFPs in the All-Russian Research Institute of hydraulic engineering of the name B. E. Vedeneyeva (VNIIG of B.E. Vedeneyev).

Project Tasks

Printing of project and scientific documentation plays an important role accompanied by activity of institute. Within optimization of this direction it was necessary to reduce expenses on document flow and to increase their transparency. For this purpose it was required to reduce the park of the printing equipment and to reduce its energy consumption and also to reduce the cost of prints. Besides, it was going to unify and upgrade the park and to create a safe environment of document flow.

To these tasks completely there corresponded the hardware-software solution of Xerox. After successful tests of a pilot set the institute installed two high-performance MFPs of A3 Xerox WorkCentre 7830 format in a complex with USB card readers and a control system and accounting of printing of YSoft SafeQ.

Project Results

Using the YSoft SafeQ system the institute could increase information security of document flow, begin to manage on a centralized basis printing processes, copyings and scannings of documentation, to register the history of failures and also to plan maintenance expenses of the equipment and purchase of supplies.

YSoft SafeQ allows to differentiate access rights of employees to peripheral equipment and to keep account of the performed works. The solution supports the convenient and safe user authentication method using access cards and/or input of the PIN code on the terminal. At the same time a system traces each appeal to the printing equipment and creates reports with statistics sorted by users, structural divisions, projects and other parameters.

At the first stage of the project the control system of printing of YSoft SafeQ was integrated with the Xerox WorkCentre 7830 MFP. Further the institute is going to scale it on other printing devices to increase efficiency of work with documents and to reduce costs for release of project and scientific documentation.
