On March 31, 2017 the Softline company announced SharePoint Online use as target cloud platform in the project of migration of a corporate portal of EKS group.
Project Tasks
The corporate portal of the customer acted on the Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 platform. To reduce charges and technical maintenance of a system, the management of EKS group made the decision on migration of the portal in the SharePoint Online environment.
The customer purchased this product earlier. The partner - Softline company. Co of the party of the customer in the project worked IT-Business company.
Project Progress
Specialists of the contractor together with IT-Business created the plan of migration. Works on synchronization of service of the Active Directory directory with Office 365 are performed earlier by specialists of IT department of EKS group.
All files from the server are postponed for SharePoint Online with preserving of access rights. Specialists of Softline on the portal in a cloud customized the display of news in the corporate blog. The search mechanism of employees on user profiles is implemented, the functionality of data mapping about birthdays is created. On the homepage of the portal the section of Task is added. The customer received instructions for the administrator and users.
