The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tatarstan prepared the concept of use of BIM technologies

On April 25, 2017 the Croc company announced the project of creation of the road map of transition to BIM technologies (Building Information Modelling) by request of the Ministry of Transport and Road Facilities of the Republic of Tatarstan, the contract and subordinated organizations.

Project Tasks

With start of a system the ministry is going to reduce costs and to increase efficiency of construction of highways and constructions. The project is initiated in anticipation of entry into force (January, 2019) of the legislative instruction about compulsory use of BIM technologies at design of construction objects within the state order.

Actions with participation of Ministry of Transport of RT, (2010)

According to the plan, transition to the concept of BIM is implemented due to application integration, RT used by departments and contractors of Ministry of Transport for design, construction management, by reconstruction, repair and operation of objects. Such approach will cost by 2-3 times cheaper, than implementation of the modules BIM and retraining of users.

By means of integration of an IT environment the customer expects to have an opportunity of the centralized control of financial performance and works on each of stages of lifecycle of an object, to reduce terms of design and to increase its efficiency.

At a stage of construction of the facility the road map provides automation stroyrabot using special equipment. It increases quality of control over execution of works according to design data.

Technologies which we involve in construction of facilities of transport infrastructure allow Tatarstan to be the leader in road condition in the Russian Federation. But it is not an occasion to be satisfied with what has already been achieved. According to the results of complex implementation of information modeling we will move to a better level of implementation of objects, we will increase efficiency of interaction of the ministry and the subordinated organizations participating in design, construction and operation of roads and constructions. Project Results

The road map of implementation of BIM technologies is created Croc according to the results of inspection and the analysis of organizational and technology processes and IT infrastructure of the ministry. The document, with the description more than 10 solution modules (with indication of technical functional requirements, to integration opportunities, data protection and so forth), stages of implementation and recommendations for use, was created within one month.

Many organizations work only with separate BIM tools, without full use of technology. Complex approach to implementation of BIM will allow the Republic of Tatarstan to become the first subject of the Russian Federation working on BIM methodology.
