On May 24, 2017 the companies M.Video also Microsoft announced the project of equipment more than 5 thousand sellers in shops in the territory Russia tablets and phablets on Windows 10 until the end of 2017. A project objective - increase in sales volume and consultation of buyers.
Project Tasks
Within the Real Time Dealing project ("The transaction here and now") consultants of M.Video will receive mobile devices on Windows 10 with an installed software. Directly at a show-window with the equipment sellers can:
- identify the client,
- help with the choice,
- compare several models,
- specify a goods remaining balance in a warehouse,
- find color and design,
- pick up accessories and services,
- in real time to compare the price to conditions of competitors
- make the most advantageous price offer taking into account the operating actions and bonus points of the client.
The application on mobile devices is integrated with the IT system of M.Video. As the partner companies announced, a pilot project in 30 shops proved efficiency of the similar solution - sales grew on average to 5%, in some points the difference reached two-digit indicators, the number of regular customers in these shops grew by 30%.
Until the end of the year M.Video is going to supply with tablets and phablets of consultants 200 main trade point across Russia. Within the project the retailer is going to use 3 thousand mobile devices on Windows 10.
According to the statement of the companies, investments into the project will make ~ 170 million rubles taking into account equipment procurement, software development and training of sellers. The company is going to pay back the project within the first year after implementation.
Despite development of online trade, more than 90% of purchases in a segment of home appliances and electronics come to the end in shops – clients come personally to communicate to the consultant and to look at goods "in live". Now sellers in M.Video shops can offer the same technologies and level of personalisation to which buyers already got used online. It is important that using mobile application we not just help clients with the choice, and we do the most advantageous offer, clearly demonstrating all conditions of purchase. As a result, shops with mobile consultants showed during the pilot higher sales in comparison with comparable normal shops, sales growth averaged up to 5%, in some points the difference reached two-digit indicators. The project of similar scale is sold in the Russian market for the first time.
