"National Center of Informatization" (NCI), subsidiary company of Rostec state corporation, will provide access to services of "Virtual Design Office" (VDO) to engineers of Salyut Gas turbine engineering research and production center (enters into "United Engine Corporation"/UEC). The agreement on cooperation of the party was signed in May, 2017 within the "Digital Industry of Industrial Russia-2017" conference in the Republic of Tatarstan (Innopolis).
The NCI will provide to Salute the hardware and software system expected 12 jobs including the required software package for mathematical modeling and design of difficult engineering solutions. In turn, Salute participates in creation of research and production base, including with attraction of technologies, engineering, technical and industrial capabilities of Virtual CB.
"It is still test start when commercial operation of Virtual CB begins, the quantity of jobs in Salute can be increased, and the functionality of each virtual work place is expanded. Engineers of Salute will be able to estimate all advantages which use of service gives. It is one of the first implementation projects of the solution on industrial enterprise, at the same time, declared more than ten companies the interest in Virtual CB" — Konstantin Solodukhin, the CEO of "the National Center of Informatization" told.
Development and creation of the gas turbine equipment are extremely knowledge-intensive, technically difficult projects which demand large-scale infrastructure, the specific engineering software and the integrated management tools for all lifecycle — from design before utilization of a product. It is supposed that use of virtual CB will allow to increase efficiency of engineering work, its information security and to reduce costs on specialized software" — Yeliseyev Dmitry, the director of information technology of Salyut Gas turbine engineering research and production center commented on an event.
Virtual CB can be used in engineering, construction and production companies, the centers of prototyping and different product lifecycle management systems. According to representatives of NCI, service is especially effective in case of the distributed structure of the enterprises and commands, at extremely deadlines of start of the project and existence of outdated product lifecycle management methods.
