The name of the base system (platform): | Projects based on blockchain technology |
Developers: | Russian Quantum Center (payment processing center, Russian Quantum Center, RQC) |
Date of the premiere of the system: | 2017 |
Scientists of the Russian Quantum Center (RQC) announced in the spring of 2017 the first-ever quantum blockchain. The technology allows is distributed to store and verify data, including financial, at the same time transactions with them are protected using quantum enciphering. Quantum protection should save a blockchain from cracking which will become possible with distribution of the quantum computer.
The platform of a blockchain created in payment processing center uses quantum distribution of encryption keys. In the conditions of a suitable configuration of network it gives the chance not to use those elements of a blockchain which the quantum computer can crack. The essence of protection consists in additional requirements which are imposed by a quantum communication network during a dopisyvaniye of the new block in a blockchain. "It does the Russian blockchain not cracked even for the Russian hackers" — tells payment processing center.
The quantum blockchain passed the first-ever test in field conditions — the heterogeneous network of quantum communications which the payment processing center built on already ready communication lines of Gazprombank was for this purpose used. The network contains three nodes. In it the protected formation of new blocks of a chain was experimentally tested. Combining a blockchain and quantum networks, the payment processing center intends to develop a number of products using which it will be possible is distributed to store data and also to maintain distributed databases.
