History

2022: Fiber Backbone Network Coverage

As of April 2022, YUL-com has its own backbone fiber-optic network, which widely covers Moscow and the Moscow region, reaches regions and regional centers such as Ryazan, Vladimir, Tver, Kaluga, Velikiye Luki and the Pskov region, has cross-border crossings to neighboring countries. Our own backbone network allows you to provide services for telecom operators, state-owned companies and commercial organizations.

2017

Moscow-Riga-Stockholm backbone optical network

In November 2017, UL-com Media spoke about the launch into commercial operation of a new cross-border main line Moscow - Riga - Stokholm. Its main difference from existing routes is its unique geographical location. The length of construction was more than 700 km.

The result of the completed construction connected the two countries Russia and Latvia. The optical cable is laid in the ground in compliance with all technical and legal standards. The cable is equipped with the necessary infrastructure and is in its own operation of the YL-com group of companies.

At the end of October 2017, the first section of the Moscow-Riga main DWDM line was launched. Technical capabilities of 100G, 150G and 200G channels have been tested. On November 10, a section of the Riga-Stockholm trunk network was commissioned. The capacity of the line is close to 8 Tbit/s.

Fiber Backbone Network Coverage

As of May 2017, YUL-Com CJSC had its own backbone fiber-optic network, which covered Moscow and the Moscow Region, Ryazan and the Ryazan Region. Its own backbone network allows it to provide high-level services for telecom operators, government and commercial organizations.
