The history of the Ferrero Group began in 1946 in the small Italian city of Alba, located in the Piedmont region. Today, the company, having reached a consolidated turnover of 10 billion euros, is one of the leaders in the chocolate confectionery market and the third largest global producer in the industry.
The Ferrero group is present in the markets of 53 countries, its number of employees is more than 41 thousand people. The company owns 22 manufacturing enterprises around the world, three of which operate under the Michele Ferrero Entrepreneurial Project in Africa and Asia. In early 2015, the Group founded the Ferrero Hazelnut Company (HCo), which included 6 agricultural and 8 manufacturing enterprises. Ferrero products (Nutella, Ferrero Rocher, Raffaello, Tic Tac and Kinder products) are sold in more than 170 countries. These products have become familiar, even traditional in many regions, where consumers from generation to generation remain loyal to their favorite brands, considering them cultural symbols of their countries.

2022: The company recalls Kinder Surprises due to bacteria found in them
In early April 2022, Ferrero announced the recall of Kinder chocolate products. The recall is associated with the suspicion of the presence of salmonella in them - bacteria that are causative agents of salmonellosis and other intestinal infections. More details here.
