Baltic Shipyard carried out upgrade of IT infrastructure

On June 30, 2017 the IBS Platformix system integrator announced the project of complex upgrade of IT infrastructure of a data processing center by request of Baltic Shipyard — Shipbuilding LLC (Baltic Shipyard).

Project Tasks

By the beginning of the project Baltic Shipyard used data center which serviced information systems and services of the plant.

In 2016 the decision on upgrade of computing powers according to tasks of JSC United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) was made. Updating of the platform was required for preparation for transfer of an information system of "The general service center" of OSK (OSK-OTsO).

Project Progress

Experts of the contractor conducted examination, executed design, delivery, implementation, installation and start of DPC.

Project Results

Within upgrade of IT infrastructure on the basis of technologies of Huawei are created:

• computing platform,
• network infrastructure
• storage system.

UPSes from Svyaz Engineering, tape library from Lenovo, a backup system from Acronis and an encryption system Continent are installed.

We are exacting to everything, as for plant operation, including security with IT resources. When the task about creation of data center was set, key requirements became on the one hand – high rates of return of investments, and on the other hand – absence in technical solution of the European and American producers. In this regard we looked for the experienced partner capable to be charged for the end result. We found such partner on behalf of IBS Platformix system integrator. The project for Baltic Shipyard has essential value for the Russian IT market in a type of complex use of solutions of Huawei in data center.
