Norilsk Nickel started the system of a radio communication and positioning on the Polar mine

On July 6, 2017 the Softintegro company announced project completion of system implementation of a radio communication and positioning of personnel and technicians on the Polar mine of Polar branch PJSC Norilsk Nickel MMC.

Project Tasks

The project prepared within the program of increased security during the work on production. A number of tasks of industrial automation on the basis of the implemented automation complex is in addition solved.

Project Progress

A system was created "from scratch" - complex design and laying of a fiber optic cable. On Polar the multicabled fibers in a mine trunk are used, it branches on working segments.

According to requirements to safety of work of the mine the equipment in explosion-proof execution is installed. On the basis of primary network the high-speed data network (DN) is created. It became the environment for interaction of subsystems of a complex of automation.

As a part of a complex work:

• subsystem of underground positioning of personnel and technicians on the basis of reading of individual tags.
• wireless communication with each worker, by personal phone.
• automated system "anti-zoom-in": the notification of the driver of transport about presence by a number of people or the equipment.

In a system the network and specialized equipment of SPBEK-Mining companies, hardware and software systems for underground positioning of "SPGT-41" of production "Uraltekhis" is used.

The functionality of collecting, information processing and creation of analytical reports for scheduling and management is implemented based on the software package developed by Amount of Technologies company on the system Wonderware platform.

Project Results

According to the statement of specialists of the contractor, in the project the automation complex with integration of a number of subsystems and the equipment of different producers, including the Russian equipment and technological solutions is put.

The manager of a system obtains operational information about location of personnel and technicians in the mine which is displayed its workplace (automated workplace) on the plan of the mine. It helps to organize and control quickly actions of personnel at emergency situations.

The automated system of accounting of transportation of mountain weight executes scheduling of operation of the underground equipment and control of the production program by turns.
