The Kontinental Hockey League and the Asteros group announced on August 10 agreement signature about cooperation. The signatures under the document were appended by the vice president of KHL for hockey transactions Georgy Kobylyansky and the CEO of the Asteros group Alexander Saenko.
Agreement signature took place within the international seminar "Topical issues of security when holding matches of the Championship of the Kontinental Hockey League — the Championship of Russia on hockey of a season of 2017/2018". Partnership in general is directed to increased security at hockey matches due to use of modern technologies and solutions taking into account experiment of Asteros on ensuring anti-terrorist protection of sporting venues of the country.
Directions of partnership
The memorandum defines the main directions of strategic partnership of KHL and the Asteros group. By priorities for joint work are designated:
- analysis of a current status of objects;
- plan development on achievement of compliance of security protections to requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation;
- development of recommendations and regulations and also material safety data sheets of objects;
- carrying out consultations and seminars on changes of the legislative environment regulating security of sporting and cultural and mass venues.
Strategic partnership between KHL and the Asteros group will allow to optimize processes of security on the arenas hosting hockey matches of Continental, Youth and Women's leagues. The priority of KHL as organizer — to be convinced of security of all participants at the event. Asteros has experience of projects implementation in the field of security of buildings and constructions. We see in this cooperation start of long and fruitful interaction in questions of an end-to-end system of security and anti-terrorist protection on sporting venues of KHL" — Georgy Kobylyansky, the vice president of KHL for hockey transactions said. |
Approach to complex security
Vladimir Shelepov, the deputy CEO for business development of the Asteros group, provided conceptual approach of the company to complex security and anti-terrorist protection of an object of sport on the example of the Olympic Luzhniki complex. As of August, 2017, as the general contractor Asteros completes the works on preparation of this object for Holding the FIFA World Cup. OK Luzhniki is protected with security perimeter 3.5 km long, 7 pedestrian and 6 transport check points are unrolled here that totally provides more than 450 points of pass of people and about 40 bands of journey of transport. In general the order in the territory of around stadium will be "kept" by about 1300 hi-tech surveillance cameras. Besides, Shelepov gave an example of providing all complex of security systems with the failsafe computing infrastructure capable to work in the uninterrupted mode at the expense of the mutually reserved data centers.
