Castorama started the product online directory on virtual resources

On August 16, 2017 the Croc company announced the project of the organization of cloud IT infrastructure on the platform of network of data centers, including DPC Compressor, by request of Castorama company.

Project Tasks

Due to growth of business in Russia the customer company needed to start the product online directory. The decision on the organization of virtual infrastructure from CROC integrator was made.

The project required step-by-step coordination and building of effective communication between our external partners, internal divisions and foreign to contractors. Thanks to harmonious work of a project team of CROC we can be sure that web service will be always available to our buyers. Specialists of cloud integrator carried out adaptation of the website in a cloud, designed failsafe cloud infrastructure and provided monitoring of its critical components. Project Progress

Availability of an online service provides a cloud of CROC. Continuous monitoring of principal components of the web directory, technical support by specialists of cloud integrator is organized.

Cloud infrastructure is provided on the IaaS model (Infrastructure as a Service) with the level of certification Tier III Gold Certification of Operational Sustainability from Uptime Institute.

Project Results

The service of monitoring on the software platform on the open code for components of the infrastructure which is responsible for operability of the website helps to control availability of the website of retail chain stores. It reduced time of reaction of IT specialists for critical incidents to 10 minutes.

Time of start of services of the web directory in test environments was at the same time reduced. The customer received the flexible, productive infrastructure adapted for tasks of developers.

We are glad that the cloud of CROC became the platform for start of a new online service of the largest international retailer Castorama. The company entrusted us not only creation of infrastructure for work of the online directory in Russia, but also transferred to outsourcing of a task of its monitoring and continuous support.
