Mondi of SLPK in Syktyvkar installed the UPS from Delta Electronics

The Delta Electronics company, producer of pulsed sources and solutions on uninterrupted power, announced on August 21, 2017 project implementation on ensuring fault tolerance of the systems "Mondi SLPK" in Syktyvkar.

Premises of the project and choice of the solution

After performing technical diagnostics earlier set at the UPS enterprise, specialists of Mondi of SLPK came to a conclusion about need of replacement of the outdated systems by new. At the same time a choice was made for benefit of the solutions Delta Electronics. As the result, for ensuring fault tolerance of technology processes of the enterprise was selected by the UPS of the Ultron family of the EH series, 15 kVA. This solution has support of reservation by the principle of N+X, the additional built-in and external chargers for increase in total capacitance of rechargeable batteries and also has the high efficiency (96%). Besides, the solution Modulon of the NH Plus series was involved in the project.

Project Progress

All process of installation of the EH systems took four hours specialists: replacement of the old UPS by new, its input in operation and also recovery of all processes was made.

In addition, for ensuring fault tolerance of the APCS systems of the enterprise, instead of four outdated uninterruptible power supply units, two modular UPSes of the Modulon family of the NH Plus series, 60 kVA were installed. Reduction of quantity of systems became possible thanks to modular construction of the solution Delta Electronics. NH Plus has potential of "hot" replacement of power modules without interruption of a power supply of loading and a possibility of reservation of auxiliary power sources. External battery cabinets and a bypass were also included in the delivery. Within 24 hours all old equipment, including cable lines was completely dismantled and also mounted and again started the UPS.

It was important to us to pick up solutions which would conform to all requirements of the customer, at the same time of them project implementation in the shortest possible time was key. Reliability of the equipment of the producer, a possibility of providing a two-year guarantee and also existence of the authorized service center in Russia became selection terms of the Delta Electronics systems — Anton Yakovlev, the technical director told Tempesto Center. — It was interesting to implement such project in a short time, and the equipment completely met our expectations — everything operates normally. Of course, successful project implementation would be impossible without special trainings of Delta Electronics, only the trained certified specialists can be engaged in installation of such systems.
