In August, 2017 it became known of obtaining by Fujifilm company the large contract for delivery of the medical systems from the American military.
The agreement is signed between division of Fujifilm Medical Systems USA and the U.S. Department of Defense (Department of Defense, DoD) and Administration of veterans of the USA (U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs). The cost of the contract calculated on ten years (more precisely, on five with an opportunity prolongation for as much), is $768 million.
According to terms of the contract, the American government medical institutions will be able to purchase and implement the Synapse systems (including the solutions Synapse 5 PACS, Synapse Mobility Enterprise Web Viewer, Synapse 3D, Synapse CV and Synapse VNA) intended for work with medical data and images. They allow to archive and distribute large volumes of images from all visualization devices, managing all of them within a single system.

In August, 2017 the Pentagon and Administration of veterans of the USA continued project implementation of MHS Genesis which purpose is updating of the operating electronic medical system. Technologies of Fujifilm will play an important role in this transition.[1]
