2012: SAP Banking Services 8.0

In December, 2012 the SAP company according to earlier announced plans for localization of solutions for the banking sector, announces that documentation of SAP Banking Services 8.0 is available in Russian now.

"Preparation of documentation in Russian – one of important stages of adaptation of the solution under the Russian market. Localization in general will give the chance to organize user support and to bring solutions into accord with requirements of the Russian regulators. Already now we invite the Russian banks to participation in process of testing of the bank solution", - the deputy CEO of SAP CIS Kazinyan Ishkhan noted.

Due to uniform localization, SAP is going to reach reduction of implementation cost and to propose to the Russian banks the solution on automation of bank processes developed on the basis of the best world business practices taking into account requirements of the Russian legislation.

SAP carries out complex localization of the SAP solution for Banking. Earlier the SAP company declared an exit of the first release of the version of SAP ERP adapted for banks, the second release with advanced functionality is planned to an exit at the beginning of 2013". Within the first phase of localization SAP Banking Services in addition to already implemented accounting according to international standards support of formation of bookkeeping registers on 20-bit accounts will be executed.

2013

On November 18, 2013 the SAP CIS company announced an exit of the first release of the Russian localization of the SAP Banking Services solution brought into accord with specifics of the Russian legislation in the field of accounting and the reporting.

The solution includes all functional set corresponding to Core Banking determination. Feature of the project of the Russian localization of the solution - permanent check by practice: at a stage of approval of requirements and development work was conducted in close cooperation with CB Center-Invest.

The project on the Russian localization of SAP Banking Services which start announced SAP CIS in 2012 included a broad spectrum of works - from the translation into documentation Russian to the solution, to difficult tasks of reduction of the solution in compliance with specifics of the Russian legislation in the field of accounting and the reporting. In particular, especially for the Russian localization new functionality is developed: automatic generation of 20 (25) bit numbers of personal accounts and the organization of support of formation of bookkeeping registers on 20(25) - to the bit accounts, are adapted the processes having the Russian specifics - charge and interest payment in a transaction system, revaluation of currency accounts, settlement of pair accounts, closing of year.

Advantages

Emergence in the market of banking technologies of the localized version of SAP Banking Services will reduce the volume of completions at implementation, it will reduce total cost of ownership the solution. High extent of process automation and algorithms in this solution will increase customer service quality due to decrease in quantity of errors and increase in efficiency of work of banks.

In 2014 the release of the first servispak and new release of localization with additional functionality is planned.
