2019: The announcement of LG V50ThinQ 5G with the additional screen

LG Electronics (LG) and Swisscom announced on April 15, 2019 fast putting into operation of 5G networks in Europe and fast start of sales the LG V50ThinQ 5G smartphone with the additional screen. The device will appear in Swisscom retail stores within the next weeks. In addition to partnership from Swisscom, LG begins to involve in cooperation and other European operators who are going to start service 5G in 2019.

The LG V50ThinQ 5G smartphone is controlled the mobile platform Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 and the Snapdragon X50 5G modem. As the technology 5G requires more energy than LTE, the LG V50ThinQ smartphone is equipped with the accumulator with a capacity of 4000 mAh that is 20% more, than at the LG V40ThinQ accumulator. That the smartphone coped with additional workload without overheating, it is equipped with the system of dispersion of heat with the vaporizing chamber. Power of such system is almost three times higher in comparison with the cooling system of the previous LG V40ThinQ model, claim in the company.

The technology 5G will allow to load bigger quantity of content for smaller time. Users of LG V50ThinQ will be able to feel possibilities of this technology fully, having connected the second screen. After single connection, the second screen opens in the form of the folder, providing the 6.2-inch OLED display for viewing musical concerts and sporting events on the air that became possible thanks to high-speed technology 5G. At turn in horizontal direction, LG V50ThinQ 5G turns into the full-function game device, and the double screen is transformed to a special control panel. Thanks to existence of two screens it is possible to combine watching movies on one screen with search of movies in Internet base on other screen, without minimizing an active window. At the same time the double screen can be disconnected quickly to save a charge of the accumulator and to lose device weight on the way.

Acceleration of commercialization of technology 5G in Europe will require close cooperation, and LG aims to become one of key players when service 5G becomes widely available in the region — Morris Li, the senior vice president and the head of business division of LG Electronics Mobile Communications company told.

2018: LG V40 ThinQ

On October 4, 2018 the company LG Electronics (LG) provided smartphone LG V40 ThinQ providing high quality during creation and reproduction of multimedia content.

The smartphone works at mobile processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, has 6 GB of operational and 64 GB or 128 GB of the internal memory.

To offer a device for the modern generation creating content, the LG company worked a funktsionalnnost of LG V40 ThinQ and provided ample opportunities of work with the camera. The main module consists of three cameras: 16-megapixel with a superwide angle lens, 12-megapixel with standard and 12-megapixel with a telephoto lens. Three cameras allow amateur photographers to create the different personnel, without changing the provision in relation to an object. the 107-degree superwide angle lens can imprint large objects on a large-scale background while the telephoto lens with a double optical zoom (or a wide angle lens with a 3.2-fold zoom) takes accurate pictures at distance without loss of quality. The Triple Shot function integrates the images removed by each of cameras in short video which can share with other users, noted in LG Electronics.

The frontal module includes the 5-megapixel camera with wide angle and the 8-megapixel camera with standard the lenses together creating effect a side, at the same time extent of blur of a background can be regulated by means of the toddler on the screen. Other functions will allow fans of a selfie to personalize even more the photos by means of lighting and other special effects, the producer claims.

According to the statement of the developer, in comparison with the LG V30 smartphone, the size of pixel of the sensor of the main camera LG V40 ThinQ was improved for 40% and increased from 1 micron to 1.4 microns, at the same time the sensor is increased by 18%. Function of the camera AI Composition is connected to an intelligent system of the smartphone to frame, imprint and recommend the alternative personnel to that which was already removed by the user. Function of automatic adjustment of a white balance AI Auto White Balance (AI AWB) configures temperature of color in the conditions of different illumination, at the same time the AI Shutter function selects the suitable speed of a lock that is convenient during shooting of quickly moving objects.

The Cine Shot function creates sinemagraf — the animated images. It is enough to shoot short video on any of three main cameras and to outline a finger section which needs to be animated. The Effect 3D Light function changes tone of the photo by means of professionally built lighting, retouches a selfie thanks to different templates of a make-up Makeup Pro or completely changes a selfie background from Custom Backdrop. Fans of augmented reality will be able to create and send to friends the personalized emoji by means of the My Avatar and AR Emoji functions, using for this purpose the selfie or one of the offered characters, explained in LG Electronics.

The LG V40 ThinQ smartphone differs in 6.4-inch QHD+ (3120 x 1440) OLED FullVision in the display with the lower frame which is 1.6 mm thinner, than at the previous model. It is the plastic OLED display created to provide more exact color rendition and to improve brightness indicators, noted in LG Electronics.

Are developed by audio of a possibility of the LG V40 ThinQ model together with Meridian company. the 32-bit digital-to-analog converter Hi-fi Quad provides the balanced sounding which is precisely reproducing quality of original record. Boombox Speaker doubles basses of normal loudspeakers of the smartphone, using an internal device space as the resonator. At placement on a firm surface or an empty box the LG V40 ThinQ smartphone strengthens basses even more, the producer claims.

As noted in LG Electronics, color and the seamless body emphasize design of the LG V40 ThinQ smartphone. Development of LG Silky BlastM company is applied to finishing of a glass panel of the smartphone, giving of a surface of more smooth opaque texture which is comfortable for the user and does not slide.
