MTS of Big-Data-as-a-Service

In September, 2017 the operator of MTS started service for business - cloud processing of Big Data (BDaaS, Big-Data-as-a-Service)^[1]. The cost of use of service is from 5 thousand rubles a month, the price changes depending on the space occupied in a cloud.

Customers are offered to work with data in software environments of Hadoop-as-a-Service and Spark-as-a-Service. Service works by means of the preset instruments of calculation, but clients have an opportunity to create and own algorithms of data processing.

The cloud service of MTS can be used by business for targeting of advertizing, collecting and processing of open data, financial and business analysts. For example, online stores could save partially on promoters and marketing specialists, analyzing a customer behavior and offering ready targeted offers to different events and holidays, reported in MTS.

MTS is going to develop the direction of cloud services

The company says that observe interest in services of BDaaS from the enterprises of the sphere of finance, trade and production.

On rendering cloud services of MTS it was focused since the beginning of 2017: entered the market of cloud services for large business. The operator began with IaaS service, but in March spoke about plans to expand the offer, including mentioned also BDaaS service.

For project implementation on providing cloud services the operator constructed a commercial cloud platform based on the solution of VMware and installed storage systems and servers in data centers in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Novosibirsk.
