2017: Localization of servers of the Bull brand
In September, 2017 the French IT company Atos announced localization in Russia productions of the servers of the Bullion brand with architecture of x86. The partner of integrator from our country selects the NPP Mayak company created in 2015 which on own and leased production capacities will begin to stamp case shaped parts for servers and to print payments for the modules of a trusted boot providing use in the equipment of the European partner only of the entrusted software.
As the commercial director of NPP Mayak Oleg Belov told Kommersant, the company will build in the module of a trusted boot the Bullion servers. Thanks to it the equipment can be supplied to government institutions, the director of business development of "Atos Russia" Roman Gots specified.
The Bullion servers manufactured in Russia will be on sale under the Beacon brand. Partners invested more than $2 million in the project, is going to pay back investments in 2018.
It is noted that servers under the Beacon brand will cost as much how many and original products — from 50 thousand euros, Roman Gots told.
By September, 2017 the Beacon servers were ordered by one data center which owner does not reveal. Negotiations with a number of "large customers" are conducted.
According to Oleg Belov, representatives of the Russian public sector and the companies with the state participation more than 50% are among customers of NPP Mayak.
NPP Mayak and Atos reported to the edition that by September, 2017 production of servers is prepared for start for 95%. A part of products is certified, and is going to complete certification by the end of 2017.
The newspaper reminds that Atos signed global agreements about distribution of the Bullion servers with the companies earlier Dell EMC, Hitachi Data Systems and Cisco.[1]
