The Ministry of Internal Affairs will purchase more than 50 thousand tablets for 848 million rubles

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in September 2017 announced the purchase of a large batch of tablets. The total cost of delivery is estimated at 848 million rubles.^[1]

Ministry of Internal Affairs buys Android tablets

For the amount announced above, the state customer expects to receive 53 thousand tablets with a screen diagonal of at least 9 inches and a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels or higher. Devices must support all modern communication standards, including 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802 11ac/b/g/n/a 2 4GHz + 5GHz, Bluetooth (4.2 and above), as well as GPS and GLONASS geo-positioning systems. RAM must be equal to or greater than 2 GB and built-in memory must be 16 GB.

Two cameras should be installed in the tablets: front - at least 1.2 MPix and rear - at least 8 MPix with autofocus and flash. The battery capacity shall be at least 7300mAh.

Tablets must have a warranty life of at least 36 months. The initial cost of each device is 16 thousand rubles.

The delivery schedule is divided into two periods. The first part of the devices (25 thousand pcs) must be shipped to the customer by December 1, 2017. The remaining 28 thousand gadgets should be delivered from January 15 to May 1, 2018 inclusive.

Vendor will be selected in the first half of October 2017.
