On October 6, 2017 the technology company Royal Philips announced start in work of the first system of MRT Philips with field gradient 1.5T for researches of pets in veterinary clinic of doctor Sotnikov in St. Petersburg.

The innovation magnetic and resonant tomograph of Philips with the nonmagnetic monitor was installed in the Center of a veterinary tomography of clinic of Sotnikov.

Using the tomograph veterinarians inspect the most different animals, but more magnetic and resonant researches are demanded among owners of dogs and cats.

Using the system of Philips in the Center of a veterinary tomography of clinic of doctor Sotnikov conduct researches of a brain, nasal cavity, throat and throat, middle and inner ear, craniocereberal injuries, retrobulbarny space, joints, a backbone, intervertebral disks, a spinal cord and nervous backs.

According to him, as of October, 2017 in Russia only several devices MRT for researches of animals, including in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Novosibirsk are installed.
