"Modular DPC as service" — the service assuming construction of modular data center under needs of the client, his delivery, installation and connection on the platform of the customer with the subsequent technical maintenance on the terms of the monthly rent.
The service assumes several options of configurations of modular DPCs (as of October, 2017): from 6 to 10 cabinets and mini-DPC with quantity of racks from 1 to 6.
According to representatives of Softline, "The modular DPC as service" does not require expensive construction or re-equipment of the premises, it can be unrolled from scratch on average in 4 months. In general the solution is an optimal variant for customers who want to increase server capacities and at the same time not to transfer data to storage of provider.
2017: Start
The Softline company provided on October 18, 2017 modular DPC as service. Failsafe solutions for storage and data processing within the organization without capital costs and expansion of the staff of IT personnel are available to clients of the company now.
Within service "Modular DPC as service" the client within 4-5 months receives in own territory the ready-made solution with the level of reliability Tier III, at the same time all corporate data are in perimeter of the company. A partner in production of construct of data center is the Russian company GreenMDC.
Modular DPCs are equipped with all necessary engineering infrastructure: conditioning systems, fire-prevention automatic equipment, gas fire extinguishing, monitoring and local electrodistribution network. All engineering systems are reserved according to scheme N+1. Each modular DPC passes the program of factory tests in the presence of specialists of Softline at the GreenMDC plant.
During the term of the agreement Softline gives service support and the maintenance of modular DPC according to SLA including diagnostics and troubleshooting, remote monitoring of the engineering systems with connection to the first line of technical support in mode 24x7. Thus, the customer does not need to increase the staff of technicians for service of modular DPC.
