Completion of APCS implementation
The final stage of implementation APCS of the saltworks "" SALTWORKS() Kaliningrad region as part of a large-scale project for the production of high-quality salt from salt solution has been completed. The system was expanded in terms of automation of the turbine unit of the enterprise's power plant. This was announced on October 24, 2023 by the company. Circle
The TP equipment set ASU of the power plant turbine unit includes:
- Turbine unit control cabinet
- Electric drive control cabinet
- Distribution cabinet
- Power cabinet.
The automated process control system of the Varnitsa salt plant was gradually implemented on the basis of the Russian software and hardware (software and hardware) complex KRUG-2000 (PAK PTK KRUG-2000). All operational personnel AWS operate under the control of SCADA KRUG-2000. The TimeVisor Common Time Server provides the required accuracy for linking the system time of all subscribers to a single astronomical time .
APCS provides coordinated control of the equipment of the main production building and power plant in all anticipated modes: start-ups, operating modes at the specified parameters, transient modes, shutdowns. The implementation of a full-scale automation system allows you to combine several subsystems, thereby ensuring the control and control of all plant equipment from one control center.
As part of this large project, KRUG has completed the following works:
- development of design documentation
- assembly, assembly and delivery of server cabinets (2 pcs.), control cabinets (13 pcs.), power cabinets (more than 50 pcs.), drive control cabinets (7 pcs.) and operator consoles of the CONSERGO® series (8 pcs.)
- development of protection and interlocking algorithms
- Engineering, Installation Supervision and Commissioning.
Thanks to the decision made at the design stage of the salt mill management to use the Russian PAK PTK KRUG-2000, this APCS is not subject to the risks of failure accompanied and further developed after commissioning in connection with the sanctions of a number of Western countries.
Start of final stage of APCS implementation
The final stage of the introduction of APCS the salt factory "" has begun as Saltworks part of a large-scale project for the production of salt from salt solution. The system was expanded in terms of automation of the warehouse building of the enterprise (shop for packing and tableting products).
Solezavod "Varnitsa" in the Kaliningrad region is preparing for launch into commercial operation. Brine obtained as a result of expansion of the underground gas storage facility of PJSC [Gazprom] is processed into pure salt for food and industrial consumption, and construction gypsum will be additionally produced. The treated water is re-sent to erode the gas storage facilities, thereby reducing the environmental load and maintaining the balance of artesian water. The planned production capacity is more than 400 thousand tons of products per year.
As part of the contract, KRUG provided consulting services for the development of application software based on SCADA KRUG-2000. As a result, the specialists of the Varnitsa plant independently developed an application program for controllers and a graphical interface for automated workstations (AWS) of operators.
The automated process control system of the Varnitsa salt plant is gradually implemented on the basis of the Russian software and hardware (software and hardware) complex KRUG- 2000 (PAK/PTK KRUG-2000). All operational personnel AWS operate under the control of SCADA KRUG-2000.
The third stage is planned to be completed in 2023 by work on the implementation of the APCS of the turbine unit of the Energotsekh enterprise.
2022: Delivery of 12 automatic cabinets, 4 operator AWS and 4 console structures
The next stage project of implementation has been completed APCS on. saltworks "Varnitsa" The company Circle announced this on April 12, 2022.

In March 2022, KRUG carried out another full-scale delivery of a set of equipment for the main production of the enterprise and the factory CHPP.
In total, within the framework of this stage, the customer was supplied with: automation cabinets - 12 pcs., Operator AWS - 4 pcs., As well as console structures in the amount of 4 pcs.
As of April 2022, the installation of the shipped APCS equipment is underway at the facility. Before sending, this set of hardware and software was subjected to full-scale factory tests at the KRUG NPF training ground.
Thanks to the decision made at the design stage of the salt mill management to use the Russian software and hardware complex KRUG- 2000, this APCS is not subject to the risks of failure accompanied and further developed after commissioning in connection with the sanctions of a number of Western countries.
2017: Supply of 42 power cabinets
On October 24, 2017, NPF Krug announced the supply of a set of power cabinets in the amount of 42 pcs. For the APCS Solezavod "Varnitsa."
Implementation of APCS of the plant and start-up of production was carried out on the basis of the KRUG-2000 software and hardware complex.
Power cabinets for drying, production and packing of Extra grade salt and gypsum production lines were manufactured and shipped to the factory.
At the company's training ground, a set of technical means and software for managing the equipment of the main production and the factory thermal power plant is being tested.
