2018: Release of a plug-in of SecuGen SDK for Citrix

The company TerraLink, the sole distributor of devices biometric authentications SecuGen in Russia and Kazakhstan, announced on April 16, 2018 what now users of solutions Citrix XenApp also XenDesktop can use highly productive scanners SecuGen fingerprints for biometric authentications at an input in the published annexes. It became possible thanks to release of a plug-in of SecuGen SDK for Citrix.

Fingerprint scanners SecuGen became available to users of Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop

The program plug-in of SecuGen SDK for Citrix allows users of XenApp and XenDesktop to connect USB fingerprint scanners SecuGen to the local devices and to use biometric authentication for safe work with ICA-sessions.

Principle of work:

• The biometric reader connected to the workstation scans a fingerprint of the user
• The client of Citrix ICA provides safe data transmission of the scanned print in VDA
• All further actions connected with a fingerprint are executed by the biometric application in VDA
• The virtual biometric application can be connected to the local reader using the configured redirection of USB ports.

The plug-in is developed for authentication in the biometric application which is started at already set ICA-connection, and not intended for authentication of users in an ICA-session. Before start of the biometric application the user should use a normal method of authentication at first.

Complete with a plug-in the demo-application for the help to developers in integration into applications is delivered.
