Moscow passes from "manual" quality control of data in IT systems to automated

On November 3, 2017 the Moscow Department of Information Technology announced competition on creation of a system of virtualization of data and control of their quality. The initial cost of the contract is 70 million rubles.[1]

DIT of Moscow creates the solution for quality control of data

At the time of the declaration of tender process of quality control of data in capital DIT was not automated. Data for control were unloaded from information systems in the form of csv of files and were exposed to formatno-logical control in the manual mode, using any scripts and reference bases.

As note in IT department, this process is very labor-consuming and requires big costs and from sources for data preparation and processing of the received results of checks, and from those who exercise control. At the same time it is difficult to implement process of their regular operating control though it and is required for quality improvement of work of the IT systems entering information landscape of DIT.

The new solution should monitor quality of data in information systems of an IT landscape of DIT. Besides, a system should automate access to information sources by means of the single unified interface and a set of the adapters leveling a difference in data view by different IT systems.

Within the project the integration subsystem of virtualization of data integrating information from different IT systems and allowing to treat them when using as data of one source should be developed. It, according to the customer, will significantly reduce costs for connection of systems and processing of the data which are contained in them.

The subsystem of virtualization should interact with the information systems having different architecture of storage and providing data. The data obtained from information systems should are provided for their further use via the single interface allowing to create requests by means of which it is possible to obtain data from the different systems, to integrate and filter data from different sources, to use the general safety rules.

Interaction with the systems sources of information should be performed by exchange on the protected telecommunication channels. Everything, according to terms of reference, the possibility of interaction not less than with 16 systems sources should be provided.

The developed solution should correspond to the schemes given in drawings below.

The languages of the high level used when developing should provide the solution of all tasks of implementation of functions of a system. At a system design cross-platform programming languages, visual design tools and other languages of the high level at the choice of the contractor should be used. Specific names softwares in documentation are not specified.

At the same time, according to requirements of the customer, a system in full and should work with complete functional filling in browsers Internet Explorer FireFox, Google Chrome and Apple Safari.

The term which is allotted for creation of a system is 70 calendar days from signature date of the contract. The contractor of the project will be selected at the end of November, 2017.
