OmniTom is the mobile KT-device having the improved mobility thanks to wheels with the multidirectional movement.
2017: Demonstration
On November 27, 2017, on an annual action of Radiological society of North America (Radiological Society of North America, RSNA) which takes place in Chicago in the last week of November, the Samsung Electronics company and its medical division Samsung Medison showed the latest developments in the field of ultrasonography, digital roentgenography and MRT.
The scanner of the computer tomography (CT) OmniTom became one of devices — the first-ever mobile KT-device differing in the improved mobility thanks to existence of wheels with the multidirectional movement reports The Korea Herald.[1]
According to the producer, OmniTom is ideal for kranialny inspections and the image at a non-contrast computer tomography, the KT-angiography and KT-perfusion provides high quality. Among the advantages of the device doing OmniTom by the irreplaceable tool for operational collection of data on patients in critical condition in Samsung listed the fast scanning speed, the ultracompact sizes and a possibility of immediate viewing pictures.
Along with OmniTom, the company showed experienced model of the specialized MRT-device for inspection of extremities of Specialty MRI. The producer emphasized that he at his development was guided not only the aspiration to create the most effective device in terms of costs and the occupied space, but also desire to provide convenience to patients. Specialty MRI saves from need to do MRT on all body and allows to conduct examination only on a hand or the patient's leg.
Besides, Samsung brought to the USA the HS60 and HS40 ultrasonography systems, device of ultrasonic diagnostics of the RS80A primium-level, radiological installations with ceiling fastening of GC85 and GC70 and also mobile digital X-ray device of GM85.[2]
