At the beginning of December, 2017 at an annual conference of society of radiologists of North America (RSNA) the Hologic company provided the system of a flyuoroskopiya for visualization of extremities of Fluoroscan InSight FD Mini C-Arm to Chicago.

A system is equipped with the software of InSight 6.1 and the touch interface. The producer notes that visualization of images in high resolution expands possibilities of the scanner, and the mode of low doses allows to reduce radiation of the patient with preserving of quality of the picture.

We aim to help surgeons-orthopedists, improving quality of image processing. We provide the system with high resolution allowing surgeons to consider microcracks and trabeculas of a bone. The mode of low doses will allow to lower a radiation dose by 50% in comparison with the automatic mode. Such mode is intended for intraoperative visualization.

Fluroscan InSight FD is equipped with the rotating flat panel detector which provision can be changed to provide visualization of long bones of extremities at the minimum radiation. Using this system doctors will also be able directly to estimate bone structure and need of further researches, for example, of densitometry.

Fluoroscan InSight FD will allow Hologic company to provide to surgeons-orthopedists the complex tool for diagnostics and treatment of fractures of extremities, Sivakumar noted.

The software of InSight 6.1 was approved by Management on control of food and medicines of the USA (FDA) and released in October, 2017. The regulator also approved sales of the Fluoroscan InSight FD Mini C-Arm scanner, its release on the market is planned for the beginning of 2018.[1]
