Since 2008 the Sovzond company releases a line of the exclusive orthotransformed products under the general name ORTHOREGION — ORTO10, ORTO25, ORTO50, ORTOREGION+MONITORING. These products mean transfer to the consumer of materials of remote sensing of Earth, completely ready to industry use.

Orthotransformation of pictures is executed by specialists of photogrammetric group of our company. The certain orthotransformed stages "are sewed" in a uniform raster field with alignment of tone and the subsequent cutting on the fragments covering administrative regions or regions of the country.

The orthotransformed pictures from the WorldView-1, WorldView-2 and GeoEye-1 spacecrafts are the cornerstone of product OPTO10. Orthotransformation of certain stages is executed by a method of coefficients of RPC without use of land reference points. The scale of orthophotomosaics — 1:10 a.m. 000.

Product OPTO25 is based on the seamless orthotransformed mosaics of space pictures of ALOS/PRISM with the permission on location of 2.5 m and the accuracy corresponding to the scale of the topographic map 1:25 a.m. 000. Orthotransformation is carried out without use of land reference points at the expense of unprecedentedly high accuracy of RPC of the coefficients accompanying each scene of shooting.

The orthotransformed pictures from grouping of the RapidEye spacecrafts are the cornerstone of product OPTO50. Orthotransformation of certain stages is executed by a method of coefficients of RPC without use of land reference points. The scale of orthophotomosaics — 1:50 a.m. 000.

The product ORTHOREGION + MONITORING is based on pictures of ALOS/PRISM, but together with a basic mosaic a series of space pictures from grouping of the RapidEye satellites providing operational monitoring of the necessary territories is delivered to the customer.

In many respects the commercial success of a product is connected, with the fact that it is finished, "boxed":

  • the buyer accurately understands process of pricing for the order, does not pay for redundant information (initial data, metadata, excess spectral channels);
  • pays and receives a mosaic from satellite images only on the territory (the federal district, area, edge, the administrative region, etc.) interesting him;
  • can, passing all intermediate stages, at once to load it into the used GIS cover (for example, ArcGis) and to get to work.


Considering a release of domestic data of DZZ to the commercial market, the Sovzond company since 2017 begins expansion of a line of regional orthomosaics. The new version of the product "ORTOREGION" will be created on the basis of data from the domestic Resource-P spacecrafts No. 1, No. 2, No. 3.

The model of distribution will remain to the same is in the form of a kartometrichesky mosaic covering with cutting on regions of Russia in standard GIS formats. Considering the high performance of devices and their quantity, uncovered can be finished shooting by shooting of the territory in a short time. On the precision characteristics the new product will not concede to the product "OPTO25". The covering can be black-and-white or color (RGB). Distinctive feature of a new product — higher in comparison with "OPTO25" the spatial resolution (1 m against 2.5 m is not worse) and geopositioning accuracy at the level of 5–10 m depending on land relief type.

Specialists of Sovzond company held testing of space pictures with KA Resource P No. 1. As reference points subjects of the public cadastral map which can be reliably decoded in the space picture were used. The executed researches allow to draw a conclusion that the accuracy of the orthoimages created on the basis of data with KA of "Resource-P" of level of processing 1A, with use as reference information of the verified objects of a certain type published in the public cadastral map of Rosreestr corresponds to the accuracy of cartographic materials of M 1:10 a.m. 000.

Also production of the color version of the product "ORTOREGION" is supposed. Combining the color picture of low resolution with the panchromatic picture of high resolution of the same territory, i.e., appropriating to pixels of the panchromatic image color (pansharpening procedure), it is possible to receive the new kompleksirovanny image of high resolution. Presence at data with KA of "Resource-P" of four spectral channels allows to make different options of synthesis.
