The project on construction of network of land digital television broadcasting in the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic came to the end

On December 20, 2017 the Transtelecom company (TTK) announced project completion on construction of network of land digital television broadcasting in the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic. JSC Transtelecom Company (TransTeleCom) in severe geographical and climatic conditions started in on-air broadcasting of 150 television stations in the territory of the region. About one million inhabitants of the Republic had an opportunity free of charge to watch popular TV channels and to listen to radio in a digital format.

On December 20 in Yakutsk there took place the ceremony devoted to completion of works and rewarding of project participants on implementation of the FTP "Development of TV and radio broadcasting in the Russian Federation for 2009-2018" in the region. A contractor on project implementation is Federal State Unitary Enterprise Russian Television and Broadcasting Network (RTRS), as the contractor on construction of facilities of communication in the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic the Transtelecom company acted.

Close communication and operational decision making promoted not only to dissemination of information and upgrade of infrastructure of television networks, but also significantly increased quality of life of citizens.

In only three years specialists of Transtelecom built television stations in all territory of the Republic which area is more than 3 million square kilometers. Objects of communication under construction was at distance up to 2.7 thousand kilometers from project management center and the main logistic hub in Yakutsk with different degree of transport availability. Construction crews, the multiton equipment and constructions of antenna and mast constructions were transferred on the ground, to water and air, despite severe weather conditions.

A number of objects of communication in the territory of the Sakha Republic is bred in the conditions of "permafrost" where the chilled soil does not give in to drilling manual and mechanically, only by warming up. In other cases objects for distribution of digital TV and radio broadcasting were constructed in boggy places where production of installation and construction works is possible only in winter time after freezing of the soil. Works on objects were conducted by construction crews under any weather conditions and at any time. For project implementation in the territory of the Republic more than 200 specialists equipped with all necessary material resources were mobilized.
