Rostelecom purchased the platform of industrial Internet of Things from "daughter"

At the end of December, 2017 on the portal of state procurements information that Rostelecom purchases the software of the platform of industrial Internet of Things of Restream IIoT at the subsidiary company "Restream" appeared. The cost of purchase is 129 million rubles.^[1]

Since 2015 the industrial Internet became one of strategic directions of development of Rostelecom. In July, 2017 at a meeting of Council for strategic development and priority projects under the chairmanship of the president Russia Vladimir Putin the head of Rostelecom Mikhail Oseevsky noted that transition to digital economy requires not only creation of a core infrastructure, but also project implementation based on digital platforms.

Rostelecom" works on a number of such projects among which, I would select the platform of the industrial Internet and also the national biometric platform. We are guided by four key branches in which the solutions developed by us will be used: it is oil and gas production, power, mechanical engineering and agriculture, - the president of Rostelecom said then.

The Restream IIoT platform developed by "subsidiary" of Rostelecom is a transport platform with the guaranteed SLA and is provided to clients on the PaaS model (the platform as service — Platform as a Service).

Restream IIoT is the multicomponent system providing a full stroke of data processing of the different engineering devices connected to the Internet: receiving, preprocessing, long-term storage, transfer and use in different final solutions.

Problem of the platform — to provide a technical basis for creation of technological solutions of a full stroke for the different economic industries, since collecting and processing of primary data (from counters, sensors and sensors) and finishing with providing instruments of visualization and analytics.

The platform is built on the service-oriented architecture (SOA) and consists of separate independent components modules, each of which can be used separately or in a combination with other components.

Thereby the platform provides a possibility of flexible tincture of functionality for creation of final solutions for the most different industries, such as power, housing and public utilities, transport, medicine, heavy industry, municipal economy, etc.

The Restream IIoT platform is not the final solution of industrial Internet of Things. It can serve as a core in technological solutions of a full stroke. The detailed description of the platform and its architecture is presented in documentation to purchase.

Process of implementation of the final solution of industrial Internet of Things is performed by three participants, each of which has the area of responsibility:

• integrator,
• transport platform,
• developer of the information system (IS).

Such principle allows each participant to concentrate on the tasks, simplifies development and deployment of new solutions, Restream developers are sure.

The integrator should provide data collection from physical devices and their transfer to the platform. It executes installation on the equipment of the client of sensors and sensors for reading of necessary data, installation of the aggregators supporting data exchange under the MQTT protocol and also registration of devices in services of the platform and ensuring network connection of aggregators.

The Restream IIoT platform, according to her developers, carries out the most resource-intensive task of the IIoT-solution. It should obtain data from devices, previously process and with guarantee to bring them in the client's IC. The platform should be ready to any loadings, provide availability of the services and safety of data transmission. The guaranteed delivery also means that if the IC of the client is unavailable, the platform will provide temporary storage of the data obtained from devices.

The IC developer should create the application which will obtain data from the platform and to carry out with them that logical task which is necessary for the client. It can be monitoring, data visualization, automation and t of.

Restream IIoT is not the first domestic platform of industrial Internet of Things. On December 7, 2017 MTS announced start of the IIoT-platform for installation of technologies on the platform of Internet of Things. The platform for industrial Internet of Things allows to manage any objects on which it is necessary to trace equipment operation parameters. It is focused on control of the equipment of manufacturing enterprises, power supply and service companies.

In February, 2017 Mail.Ru Group provided the distributed software platform of Tarantool IIoT developed for industrial Internet of Things. Tarantool IIoT is the transaction platform of real time solving problems of data collection, their stream analysis and operational monitoring capable every second to process data from millions of sensors.
