At the beginning of 2018 the Chinese producer of consumer electronics Xiaomi provided a robotic suitcase 90Fun Puppy1 capable to go independently for the owner.
The product announced within the CES 2018 exhibition in Las Vegas uses technology, similar to that who can be met in giroskuter. The suitcase about 50 cm high and of 30 liters changes slope angle (at most to 30 degrees) in dependence of motion speed and accepts vertical position during a stop.
The device follows near the owner and can find his location by means of function of exact positioning and drive up to it provided that the person is nearby. The range does not exceed 20 meters. The suitcase moves with a speed of 5 km/h, however in a turbo mode the indicator increases to 18 km/h.
Three commands (the suitcase remains on site, follows near the owner or tries to find for it in the territory), which are given by means of the special control panel are provided. It should be at the user that the suitcase could execute commands precisely. By means of this controller it is possible to manage the movement of the gadget manually.
The suitcase can go round obstacles (for example, people at the airport) and to overcome small roughnesses. However developers warn what do not cost ideal controllability from the electronic device for transportation of things.
To avoid problems with aircraft companies, Xiaomi equipped a suitcase with the removable lithium accumulator. Besides, the system of opening on the basis of fingerprint recognition is provided, in five it is stored to five samples.
The computerized suitcase is developed by Xiaomi together with the famous producer of vehicles — Segway company.
