Amdtekhnologiya constructed the cooling system in DPC of NORD-4

The companies of Amdtekhnologiya and DataLine in January, 2018 announced end of the 4th, final queue of construction and engineering equipping of DPC of NORD-4 on Korovinskoye Highway in Moscow. According to the results of the project the modern cooling system which total refrigerating capacity is 10.5 MW was constructed.

Prerequisites

DataLine locates network of commercial DPCs in Moscow based on which renders a broad spectrum of IT services, beginning from leasing of server racks and finishing with cloud services. Due to business development of the company it was required to increase production capacities — it was so decided to construct the data center conforming to all modern requirements. For implementation of this task regarding cooling systems the company of Amdtekhnologiya was selected.

History of creation of DPC

Construction of data center of NORD-4 began in 2013, the project with four independent power centers was developed for step-by-step start of halls in operation. The first and second queues of DPC were started in 2015, the third and fourth — in 2017 as it was required to increase computing powers under new clients of the company.

Project Progress

The proposed solution is implemented based on monoblock refrigerators with the built-in function of free cooling. Machines work on the high-potential heat carrier with the diagram of temperature of +22/+16 degrees Celsius. Within the third and fourth queues of construction 7 refrigerators and 56 cupboard conditioners are installed. In total in project 14 of refrigerators, 142 precision conditioners, 8 machine halls for the IT equipment and 4 independent power centers — such organization provided step-by-step installation of the engineering systems and input of halls in work.

Project Results

Important features of this project — the DPC has the increased energy efficiency, and its compliance to the Tier III level is confirmed with certification of Uptime Institute both at the level of the project, and for the implemented engineering infrastructure — Sergey Mishchuk, the technical director of the company of DataLine reported.

We executed the project of a system of "turnkey" cold supply, since consulting, design, delivery of refrigerating appliances — before installation and commissioning — the technical director of the company of Amdtekhnologiya Victor Gavrilov told.

According to him, one of difficulties which had to be overcome when implementing the project was that height of the technical premises in which is located hladocentre, only 1.8 meters. At such parameters it is difficult to organize placement of the equipment and to provide the personnel accessibility for carrying out service.

We managed to find the solution which allowed not only to solve this problem, but also to coordinate in one project the equipment of different producers without decrease in its main technical characteristics — Maxim Cuohan, the CEO of Amdtekhnologiya summarized.
