On January 1, 1940 the solution Narkomata of power plants organized management Centroelektromontazh for which the task of accomplishment of electric installation work on the Novomoskovsk state district power plant and a number of power objects of Mosenergo and to a construction of transmission lines up to 220 kV was set.

In 1942 management Centroelektromontazh was transformed to construction management Centroelektrosetstroy based on which the All-Union wiring and project enterprise "Centroelektrosetstroy" reorganized then in Centroelektrosetstroy trust was created later. In 1962 in connection with further specialization and improvement of installation and construction works the Centroelektrosetstroy trust was renamed into Elektrocentromontazh trust, and in 1993 is transformed to JSC Elektrocentromontazh.

In the period of the Great Patriotic War the Elektrocentromontazh group with huge tension worked on power objects of defense industry, at power plants of Moscow, Kuibyshev, Vorkuta, Kirovo-Chepetsk, Guryev. For supply with the electric power of the front-line and freed from occupation areas eight mobile power trains were mounted. Moving ahead on the West, in process of release of occupied territories, employees Elektrocentromontazh were engaged in recovery of power facilities in Volgograd, Minsk, Sevastopol, Bryansk, Orsha, Novomoskovsk and other cities.

For the achieved success and dedicated work the Elektrocentromontazh group in 1946 was handed the Red banner of the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions and Narkomat of power plants on permanent storage. In 1962 for electrification of the railway line Moscow-Baikal Elektrocentromontazh is awarded with the Order of Lenin. For high production indicators Elektrocentromontazh was repeatedly awarded with Certificates of honor and diplomas of the Ministry of Energy and electrification of the USSR; diplomas of VDNH. Successfully working in difficult economic conditions of the last years, Elektrocentromontazh in 1996 was awarded the diploma of the Leader of the Russian Economy, and in 1998 Gold Business, the diploma and the diploma of the International charitable foundation "Patrons of Century", in 2005 the diploma Enterprise of year of the International academy of real economy is awarded with the Diploma.

Elektrocentromontazh participated in construction of nuclear power stations: Voronezh, Beloyarsk, Kursk, Smolensk; and also in construction of power objects abroad.

Since 1991 Elektrocentromontazh passed to new type of service – the construction of objects of power supply on a turnkey basis including: design, construction of a construction part, acquisition and supply of equipment including own production, installation, finishing and setup works.

In Elektrocentromontazh it is implemented and successfully the certified quality management system according to requirements of international standard DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 functions.

Elektrocentromontazh since 1940 executed installation and adjustment of electric equipment:

• Turbine generators with a total power of 60,069 MW;
• Boiler units with a gross performance of 214,312 tons of steam;
• Power transformers with an installed capacity of 162,802 MVA;
• High-voltage transmission lines 5,570 km long.

Field of activity

Core activities of JSC ETsM are:

• Construction, expansion, reconstruction, modernization, all types of repairs of power objects and equipment.
• Production and implementation of industrial output: utilities and electrotechnical equipment and electrotechnical constructions.
• Transportation of goods, including heavyweight, and production of pogruzo-discharging for the population and the organizations.
