The Galenos SPPVR platform was created by the IT company TechLAB in support of the digitalization program of the Russian healthcare system. SPPWR class IT solutions, such as Galenos, are designed to help doctors with medical decisions and contain many tools for processing medical data and issuing recommendations for treating patients based on them. The peculiarity of the TehLAB product is in the creation of a "smart doctor's assistant," which allows you to reduce the burden on specialists due to the rapid processing of Big Data. The system helps to digitize and establish the use of medical knowledge: data from regional medical information systems, clinical recommendations of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation on each nosology, the results of relevant studies and examples of successful cases of treatment of patients with severe diagnoses. Thanks to this, doctors can more quickly make decisions about prescribing therapy to patients and monitor their compliance with the standards adopted in Russian medical practice.

A distinctive feature of Galenos is an integrated approach to automating the work of doctors and medical institutions: Galenos has developed a set of services, or modules, such as Galenos.Audit, Galenos.AISPAT, Galenos.12VZN, Galenos.Recommendations, Galenos.Diagnostics solves their own task, "

The Ministry of Health creates a single database for AI training used in SPPVR

In early September 2021, it became known about the creation in Russia of a single database of medical data, including the results of studies and analyses. It is designed to train artificial intelligence used in the medical decision support system (SPPBR). More details here.

Integration with VIMIS "Oncology"

The IT company TechLAB, a developer of digital healthcare solutions, on August 12, 2021 provided users of its decision support system with access to clinical recommendations from the vertically integrated medical information system (VIMIS) Oncology. As of August 2021, KR for the treatment of breast cancer are presented at VIMIS, gradually recommendations on other nosologies will appear in the system. They will be automatically transmitted to Galenos.SPPR.

In 2019, an order was issued by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, which approved the requirements for organizing medical activities. The document, among other things, provides that specialists of medical institutions should have access to clinical recommendations (RC), and they must be notified of the release of new ones. It is also assumed that in the future KR will be collected in VIMIS - as of August 2021, work is underway to digitize and load clinical recommendations into VIMIS Oncology.

The decision support system for oncology, developed by TechLAB on the basis of the Galenos platform, contains many clinical recommendations of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and regulatory documents independently digitized by IT company specialists. In order to provide doctors with the opportunity to also contact KR uploaded to VIMIS "Oncology," the developers set up the transfer of this data from one system to another. So far, all state medical institutions connected to Galenos. SPPR can receive clinical recommendations on various nosologies, digitized by TechLAB, and digitized in VIMIS - on the treatment of breast cancer. As other nosologies are added to VIMIS, they will be automatically loaded into the TechLAB system. Accordingly, in the future, the list of questions that the system can answer to the doctor will become even larger.

{{quote 'Thanks to the transfer of clinical recommendations from VIMIS to our system, the doctor is exempt from the need to search for the information he needs from various sources and structure it. With the help of "Galenos.SPPR," he gets access to both the knowledge accumulated by the system earlier and the data loaded from VIMIS. At the same time, despite the large amount of information issued, the user will see it in an understandable and structured form and will be able to determine which of the sources to rely on when working with a particular patient, "comments Alexander Shapovalov, director of TehLAB. }}

As of August 2021, the Galenos.SPPR database includes information on 1.5 million structured medical documents. In addition to selecting personalized recommendations, the IT solution can assess compliance with standards and requirements at previous stages of treatment, the timing and volume of medical care, and the correctness of the patient's route. The decision becomes an assistant doctor, allowing to eliminate the inaccuracies of diagnosis, consider various treatment options and in the end not to miss anything important.

At the heart of the solution for early detection of cancer "Oncological alert"

On February 2, 2021, TechLAB announced the release of a solution for the early detection of oncological diseases - Oncological Alert. The solution is intended for doctors of non-oncological specialties. The solution is based on the Galenos platform. More details here.

Inclusion of foreign standards for soft tissue sarcoma therapy

July 29, 2019 IT- Developer TechLAB"" announced the modernization of the Galenos IT platform, designed to manage biomedical data patients, route them and make recommendations on the appointment of therapy and the course of treatment. As part of the development of the platform, foreign standards for soft tissue sarcoma therapy NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines (principles of NCCN clinical practice in) have been implemented oncology. Doctors St. Petersburg of medical institutions involved in the diagnosis and treatment of this disease, first of all, specialists, N.N. Petrova National Oncology Research Center will be able to use the approaches obtained for data comparison Russian and foreign medical approaches.

Galenos IT Platform

Sarcomas are a group of neoplasms that develop in muscles, synovial membranes, tendons, and adipose tissue. Soft tissue sarcomas account for less than 1% of all malignant tumors, analysts calculated. For 2019, more than 50 varieties of soft tissue sarcomas are known. Due to the fact that the disease is quite rare, and there are many varieties of it, it requires a special approach to treatment: the purpose of therapy can vary greatly depending on the type of sarcoma, its localization, the degree of damage to tissues and bones. At the same time, there are not many specialists who can identify and effectively conduct sarcoma treatment in St. Petersburg, and there are almost no detailed data on the disease and sources that would help doctors in Russian medical practice.

So that Russian doctors can compare global practices of sarcoma diagnosis and treatment with domestic ones, the Russian developer TechLAB introduced data on American principles of clinical practice in oncology (NCCN standards) into advisory services on its flagship Galenos platform. The Galenos platform is designed to collect and process information about seriously ill patients, route them and make recommendations to doctors about optimal methods of treating the disease, and expanding the number of nosologies in it will allow oncologists to more comprehensively analyze the diagnosis of patients and prescribe the most adequate therapy.

The NCCN Guidelines for Clinical Practice in Oncology (NCCN Guidelines), developed by the nonprofit alliance of leading U.S. cancer centers (NCCN), essentially documents how to provide all cancer patients with preventive, diagnostic, treatment, and care services that should lead to optimal treatment outcomes. Clinical standards - a set of guidelines that detail the optimal sequence of medical decisions about the purpose and course of cancer therapy - are used in the treatment of 97% of oncology cases for patients from the United States, including those with sarcoma.

"Domestic disease treatment algorithms and clinical standards adopted at the ministerial level contain recommendations for choosing the type of therapy, as well as store data on the compatibility of PL among themselves and their side effects on the patient's body. In contrast, the American NCCN standards are focused on organizing a patient's treatment strategy and do not provide specific guidance on exactly how to conduct it. This is a fundamental difference that the medical community will be able to study in detail through the introduction of this nosology into Galenos, "

The Galenos-based medical decision support system for July 2019 already helps specialists in managing the biomedical data of patients with melanoma and about 200 more oncohematic, rheumatic and all oncological diagnoses in several specialized medical institutions in St. Petersburg.

"The integration of foreign clinical recommendations into a system that has historically been adapted to domestic medical practices suggests that the platform is well scaled and modernized to meet the needs of physicians. In addition, the addition of such rare nosology as sarcomas substantially expands the scope of its application in current clinical practices related to oncology, "

"Sarcomas are rare and highly malignant neoplasms that are not always properly treated and diagnosed in regional medical organizations that do not specialize in this type of neoplasms. The system will help doctors determine the necessary amount of examinations that will make it possible to correctly diagnose and direct the patient along the route to a specialized medical institution, "

noted Yuri Igorevich Komarov, Head of the Organizational and Analytical Department of the N.N. Petrova National Research Center for Oncology

TechLAB plans to further expand the number of nosologies available on the Galenos platform.

Inclusion in the Digital Solutions Store

March 26, 2019 it became known that the Galenos platform, developed to automate tasks health care St. Petersburg by the IT company TechLAB"," was included in the catalog of the best the Russian digital services for cities. "," Digital Solutions Store in which Galenos is recommended for implementation in the field of healthcare and, telemedicine created with the support and. Digital Economy Development Fund Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation

The Galenos platform is a comprehensive IT solution that is designed to provide information and analytical support to regional health care, medical specialists and medical institutions. It was developed by TechLAB in response to the growing need of medical organizations for specific accounting of patients, taking into account a variety of disease, or nosology, correct and prompt routing, as well as the collection of accurate statistics on patients with intractable diseases. Galenos allows you to maintain constantly updated nosological registers by accumulating and regularly exchanging arrays of depersonal medical data between medical organizations on the basis of an electronic medical record. A recommendation service has also been created on the basis of the platform, which allows doctors to compare appointments given to the patient with reference clinical recommendations published by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, regulatory documents and databases of medical knowledge. Thanks to this, doctors can make informed decisions about therapy for patients with oncological, rheumatic, endocrine and orphan diseases.

"In developing Galenos, we aim to make useful for physicians data who accumulate in healthcare and regional health information systems. We aggregate the accumulated information about each particular disease from different systems, taking into account its nosological features, and combine them with evidence-based medicine. This allows us to remove part of the routine work of processing a lot of accumulated electronic documents from the doctor - the system can offer him algorithm further actions to treat the patient, based on uniform clinical standards and the most relevant research results. Moreover, the detail of the recommendation depends on the completeness and correctness of the data entered by the doctor. The solution is offered as a web service, which allows you to use it as a functional MIES or centralized regional service. It is this format for the use of such technologies that is laid down in the federal project of the Unified Digital Health Care Circuit. We plan that in the future the IT tool will become a harmonious part of the IT ecosystem in the field of healthcare in the regions, "comments the Alexander Shapovalov commercial director of TechLAB.

Inclusion in the register of Russian software

As it became known on April 5, 2018, the Galenos information system developed by the St. Petersburg company TechLAB"," is included in. "Unified Register of Russian Computer and Database Programs" Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Russia Comprehensive development is included in the list of two product classes: "Organization process management systems" and "Information systems for solving specific industry problems."

Galenos is a medical decision support system based on medical standards. The technology created by the TechLAB team makes it possible to transfer digitized and structured clinical recommendations to the Galenos knowledge base, as well as a number of medical documents on a number of nosologies. The attending physician sees in the system the results of laboratory tests for each case, selects a treatment scheme in accordance with clinical recommendations from an authoritative source for each diagnosis and routes the patient. The selected scheme is fixed in Galenos, on the basis of which pharmaceutical demand planning is carried out.

According to April data, the system supports 684 disease treatment regimens related to 137 different nosologies. The built-in analytical module allows you to generate summary reports on patients, diseases and the quality of care provided. The system can be installed in individual medical organizations, as well as serve as one of the services of the regional segment of the Uniform State Health Information System.

In 2018, Galenos is being tested at the N.N. Petrov Institute of Oncology, where it is tested for the most common form of cancer - breast cancer.

Galenos. Description

As of February 2018, TechLAB Know-How is a technology that allows you to quickly digitize, structure and transfer clinical recommendations and other advisory documents on various nosologies to the Galenos knowledge base. The Galenos system contains data from directories, scientific articles, methods, treatment schemes and classifiers. This allows you to form treatment and observation plans in several mouse clicks, maintain nosological and preferential patient registries, and analyze medical data. Galenos provides the opportunity to navigate the variety of existing treatment methods and make a decision to the doctor taking into account the characteristics of the disease of a particular patient.

We have gained extensive experience in the effective use of HACT. Galenos can reduce decision time or warn against making a mistake, the system will tell the doctor what needs to be considered and what decision options can be. At the same time, the SPRP takes into account the choice of a doctor and these data in an impersonal form can already be further used to teach the system and similar cases or scientific work. The source of data for HVAC can be the EHR of the medical system of the institution with which it is integrated. At the same time, the medical system is able to use updated specialized reference books and nosology classifiers.

One of the key functions of the system is the ability to route patients. The Galenos system consolidates retrospective data, forming individual patient cases from several medical organizations. This is especially true for those cases where patients can move from regional oncocabinets to medical institutions at the regional and federal levels, the TechLAB notes.

The use of intelligent medical systems, including medical decision-making assistance systems, helps reduce the influence of the human factor on the diagnosis process and the choice of the most effective method of treating the disease. The introduction of future medicine technologies minimizes the likelihood of medical errors, which are sometimes too expensive for patients.

2017: Interest of the Government of the Russian Federation in medical innovations

Interest in the development of such Galenos medical system innovations announced. In Government of the Russian Federation November 2017, an order Ministry of Health of Russia created a working group on the introduction of information systems to support medical decision-making, which also included specialists from LLC, and in TechLAB December 2017 it became known that Ministry of Health Russia it intends to expand the federal project "Electronic" health care by developing a system to support medical decision-making using elements of artificial intelligence.
